Taquería Primo Chuki's Reviews
I love this taco place. Been going here for years. Not consistently but every now and then. My favorite Mexican joint here on the northside. Probably one of the best ones. Me encanta la comida. Los trabajadores son muy amables y siempre saludan a la gente.
Incredible tacos, some of the best I've ever had. I think the chorizo taco contained the best chorizo I've ever had too. Definitely a must try, you will not be disappointed!
Taqueria Primo Chuki's has some of the best tacos in Chicago, (especially or those of us that are able to still enjoy some of offal parts of the animal from time to time). Before I discovered Chuki's I would have to go to Pilsen, or Back of the Yards to get perfectly prepared tacos de lengua ( tongue), cabeza ( cow head), and/or tripa (tripe). Taquería Primo Chuki's offers huge portions at reasonable prices, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. The guacamole is enough for four people, and even two teenage boys were left with leftovers. While the food is tasty, it is not exceptional. The carne asada torta remains a fan-favorite, featuring perfectly diced meat for easy eating. The restaurant can accommodate groups of six during lunchtime and has festive decorations during the holidays, creating a local atmosphere. Other recommended dishes include the Chilaquiles con carne and tacos. The $2 Taco Tuesday special is a standout deal, especially with tacos like Al Pastor and Pollo (Chicken Tinga) that are loaded with meat and veggies in double lined corn tortillas. The inside resembles a typical mom and pop Mexican cafe, perfect for enjoying good food with friends. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring quick service even when busy. Although spicy chips and beans are no longer provided while waiting, the owner, known as Primo, is dedicated to greeting every customer personally, which adds to the welcoming vibe of the place. Taquería Primo Chuki's is committed to providing satisfying meals at a good value, making it a place worth returning to.
