I felt very fancy going here. It was very clean, contemporary-chic; definitely a place to go to celebrate or to have a unique experience with your date. 10 out of 10 hands down pricey but you get what you pay for. When you make reservations you ask your waiter to see the office. They take you down stairs to a LOCKED lounge that seats MAYBE 12 people. Super secret super cool!!! Check out all the inspired cocktails and vintage spirits.
Finally made my way to the office after having been to the aviary a few times. Our server was really nice and welcoming. The menu itself is incredibly impressive and extensive. The ambience was great. It was dark and cozy and I appreciate that capacity is limited so it felt intimate and didn't get too loud. If you are a craft cocktail or spirits enthusiast, then this speakeasy spot is a must visit! Unrivaled selection of bottles, extremely knowledgeable staff, and the food is exceptional. I was lucky enough to go to Alinea the night before and had the black truffle explosion. The one served here is equally delicious! Thanks to the staff for their hospitality and I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Chicago. Don’t forget to make a reservation since this place fills up quickly!
