Came here because the dining room at the Wendy's on Lawrence was mysteriously closed at 9:00pm on a Thursday. Went to the drive thru to ask why and got an AI ordering bot. If Wendy's is trying to piss off their customers they're doing it right. At least this location is actually open.
I can’t believe I’m about to write a review for a fast food restaurant- but I was there on Sept 15 late night around midnight- and the young man working the drive through was kind, patient, and helpful. At Wendy's, the dining room is clean and well-maintained. The employees communicate well, and Alex, the manager, is exceptionally genuine and nice, bringing a sense of humor that is unexpected from a fast-food restaurant. While some customers have experienced unprofessional behavior in the past, the current staff is noted for their good service. The setup does require the use of a kiosk even for cash payments, which some find inconvenient. Despite this, the service remains quick, and the food quality is reasonable, with moist chicken nuggets being a highlight. However, it is important to note that during lunchtime, especially between 12pm and 3pm, the restaurant can get extremely loud due to the nearby high school students. This can be distracting for those dining with family or friends. Overall, many consider this Wendy's to be one of the best, thanks to the excellent customer service.
