“I met up with some coworkers at Sky Ride Tap for drinks right after our shift today. The vibe inside is a classic, no-nonsense Loop dive bar and it is the perfect spot to unwind. I just ordered a couple of cold domestic bottles and a shot of whiskey while watching the game on their TV. The bartender was super friendly and definitely did not skim on the pour. Just make sure you bring cash.“

“We were looking for a nice place to get a drink that wasn’t crazy during the St.Pattys river dying festival because everywhere was sooooooo busy. One of the best things is their hours they stay open until 4 AM on the weekends and even until 5 AM on Saturdays, which is amazing if you’re not ready to call it a night just yet ⏰🔥. “I attended a party in the party room. There was a cash bar in the room and the attendants were really nice. The room was a very nice size. They allow you to decorate. There are about 10 round tables and chairs provided as well. In addition, you can also bring your own food. Even with the table and chairs, there was space for the dessert table, DJ booth as well as a balloon arch with backdrop for photos. Oh, one final thing, the room has its own entrance from the parking lot and two bathrooms for your party guests.“

“If you go for the small plates and yet have an appetite, pick two. For dinner I had the Costillas and Arroz Chaufa mixed with chorizo, shrimp, peppers, egg and scallions. Hit the spot. “food was delicious! Highly recommend the zucchini fries, but the Cesar salad and elote deviled eggs were also good. Service was alright. Our waitress was really nice, but she did not check on us very frequently as we were sitting outside. We were there for a birthday, but they do not give any freebies for birthdays, just some sparklers if you order dessert (which were cute I guess).

If you pay via QR code, there’s an extra fee compared to if you pay through your waiter. In a city where every restaurant seems to be charging 3 different fees just to eat out, I would’ve appreciated a heads up about this fee prior to paying.“

“My husband and I visited the Drawing Room after a CSO performance. We loved the collegiate atmosphere, as it reminded us of the University of Chicago. In fact, Henry Ives Cobb, who was UChicago's master planner, designed the Chicago Athletic Club building, whose Venetian Gothic elements are well-preserved in the Drawing Room. A great place to relax or nerd out!“

“We have gone here twice now to see Driveways band. We had an amazing experience both times! Parking is available nearby in a parking garage if street parking is unavailable. Drink prices at the BL are little pricey for alcoholic beverages, but you do get 2 refills on sodas and they offer free water, which is great considering how warm it can get in there. “A small group of us came in on a weeknight for after dinner cocktails… The venue is interesting, somewhat dim and vibrant at the same time. Definitely has a cool, fun vibe. Cocktails are ok… I say that because we ordered something that wasn’t too off the wall which involved ginger simple syrup and they couldn’t make it – odd for a truly craft cocktail joint. So, they’re more mainstream with their cocktails. Service was just ok as well, not the best, but somewhat friendly.
Overall – it’s worth checking out, even if only for the venue.“

Space is small and dark with that China inspired decor and low lights, feels intimate. DJ was spinning good stuff without it being too loud to talk. Staff was friendly and the whole vibe worked for a chill night out in the neighborhood.“
