“My girlfriend and I found this place 5 days ago and decided to come back for lunch. We really enjoyed the onion soup, onion rings and steak sandwich, and chili. Lynn was very friendly and shared some interesting ghost stories and the story about the 1961 plane crash in the cornfield. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. It feels like visiting an old family place, and it’s definitely worth the drive! No-wait at all!“

“Had an amazing lunch!!! Food selection is amazing. I wound up with the Tuna Poke Bowl and it didn’t disappoint. Our waitstaff was attentive to detail. I am not a big dessert person when I go out, but the Key Lime Pie was calling our names. SOOOOO good!!! Thank you for a great meal. We will be back very soon.“

“From the moment I walked in. Jack was there to help me get tables together for a party of 10. we had a wonderful time but even better was the service. the food was good. the drinks were great but the service was immaculate! Thanks to both our servers each named Haley. they did a fantastic job and we really appreciate it. we had a wonderful night and would come back again and again. thank you Jack and everyone there!“
“I absolutely love Nels! My favorite bar in the DuPage area by far. It feels like the hometown Cheers. Everybody knows everybody, everyone is welcoming. It’s friendly and a great place to meet people. Or bring a group of friends. Ashley who Bartends on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays has really made this place welcoming to all. The karaoke is super fun on Friday and Saturday nights. Drink prices are the most reasonable around. Highly recommend! It is become our regular spot on the weekends and for a weekday nightcap! The crowd is all ages from 20s all the way to 70+.“

“The bartender was really helpful and friendly. Even with a full bar, he took his time to make some recommendations and gave me his full attention while talking to me. The beer selection is really good. They also have beer available for sale.

“Carlos was the most inviting nice host a patron could ask for. Even though I lost my ID he allowed me to come in and enjoy the club. Then when I left they threatened him saying he wasn't supposed to do that and I was going to cost him his job. What a joke, Im not going to knockouts without Carlos. If they fire him shame on them.“

“Went it for a loaded Bloody Mary. It was great. The people seemed really friendly (employees and customers)
The bathroom needs to be gutted. It’s terrible. I got water all over my self from something leaking. Looks like they have put 30 coats of paint over everything. It’s falling apart in there! The lighting in the bar was terrible. It literally feels like I’m in a dark basement. I would love to see this place get an over haul because it was great potential with the nice staff and great customers. Very very very welcoming!!“

“I honesty love going to this place, the margaritas and food are delicious. The manager as well as the servers are really nice and they make sure you are well taken care of. “5 stars for HECTOR in Western Springs!!! Hands down this was the absolute best dining experience I’ve ever had! While the food was delicious and the overall ambiance and decor of the restaurant was cozy, it was our server that made this dining experience over the top, great! HECTOR, you are a gem, a diamond! You have an absolutely charming personality and made my mother in law’s birthday dinner an experience to remember! “Very nice clean bar, love the warm welcoming feel and drink options. They have open mic every third Friday of the month. We really enjoy this neighborhood bar. Great bar service. Great staff, Daren and Neda are fantastic! They also have pizza from Waterworks! They have gaming machines, I like to play a few and have been lucky!

“12/3/25 night Brother from Texas and me. Fantastic Bar, best small town drinking place, “Great” Selections. Scott the Bartender is very personable/funny almost like someone I would hang out with. We group of 4 went Lunar Brewing couple of times 20 years ago, my brother and been talking about coming back. Today after leaving noisy,yuppy, pricy Yardhouse. We opted to Lunar, now I found new pub to spend our weekend chilly brewing after 30 years @ Brixies Saloon (Brookfield) which personally closed to me in 2017. “Slager's is the best! We hosted our engagement party in the party room and had an absolute blast! The space was perfect for our group, the vibes were great, and everyone had such a fun time!
Jimmy & the staff were friendly and accommodating, prices were very reasonable, and the overall atmosphere made it such an easy and stress-free place to celebrate. Karaoke later in the night was an added bonus and made the night even more fun!

“We recently saw Nonsense here. The show was great. The set was designed well. The seats were comfortable, but being short, it was a good thing no one sat in front of us, or it would have been difficult to see. This is a beautiful theatre, and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. My only complaint is that I do think tickets are overpriced. They're charging the same prices as downtown shows, and the theatre is not worth the price.“

“Bar and liquor store combo with a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great selection of whiskey and beer.
We had our rehearsal dinner there, and it was exactly what we wanted. Very much our style. Saved us a bunch of money doing it there vs our other options. And the nice thing was that we were able to cater whatever food we wanted there.
We also got the spirits for our wedding through them. They had the best prices from everything we vetted, and we were able to return all the unopened bottles that were leftover after the event.
Thanks again to Dillon, the owner, who is a really nice guy!“
