“We tried Grounded Ciffee in Frankfort based on a recommendation of a friend. It is located in Downtown Frankfort near other restaurants that we frequent but we never noticed the place. It is in an old building that has been decorated in the customer area. The kitchen and prep areas seem to be pretty old school. Lots of seating inside and a ton of seating outside.They are lacking a big easily readable menu sign. There is a smaller one that you can see to your left when you become the second person in line. Staff was very nice. There were 2 employees on a Monday morning around 9 am. The pizza bagel was very delicious and was freshly prepared. The coffee was ok about par with most places. There was a steady flow of customers, mostly locals, that were ordering. We sat outside and enjoyed a 70 degree morning with a light breeze. If you live in the area or are in the area I would suggest giving it a try. They do have a menu online and small mini menus printed on small sheets of paper by the condiment station. Menu is very limited but sufficient for what it is. Be weary of a large step up and down at the doorway. This would be difficult to impossible for folks in wheelchairs and possibly walkers unless there is another entrance I am not aware of.“

“One of the best local breakfast or lunch spots in town! I've been by a few times with friends over the last few months and have tried the avocado toast and a few other items. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and even offered us complimentary soups while we were waiting for our meals, which arrived quickly and tasted absolutely amazing. For the quality of the food, the prices are insanely cheap. The monster cookie is to DIE for. Highly recommend you stop in and check this place out if you need coffee or a good healthy morning or afternoon meal!“

The food exceeded expectations—unlike most tea services, we actually left feeling full and completely satisfied. Our table selected the bourbon-flavored tea and a delicious exotic fruit blend—both were absolutely delightful! “I went to Tinley park Schoop’s for the 1st time just over a month ago and have been back weekly since. The food, service and cleanliness of the restaurant is outstanding. The women who works there is great. The restaurant gets very crowded at lunch and the service was still outstanding. I will be a regular customer I have recommended to my family and friends.“

In Wisconsin there’s a similar restaurant called Maxfield’s Pancake House that has food of similar quality and portions. If you’re a Wisconsiner who likes Maxfield’s Pancake House and you’re looking for a good meal in Illinois, I highly recommend Skyline!

Likewise, if you’re a Chicago native who regularly eats at Skyline and you’ve wandered up into the Dairy State looking for a good meal, head to your nearest Maxfield’s.“
