“I was very impressed with this particular McDonald's. We had a flat tire and were waiting for a tow truck. They were right across the street from where I had parked, so I took my special needs son inside for his favorite, MC NUGGETS . We still laugh because one of the earliest words he ever said was "french fries" as he pointed at some golden arches he saw as we were driving down the street . I work near downtown, and the McDonald's by me is always busy, usually noisy and sometimes a little messy so I rarely eat inside. This one was much bigger, and near spotless. The service was friendly, quick, and there was plenty of space for us to sit and enjoy the nice air conditioned atmosphere while I tried to regroup and plan our evening together now that we were delayed by the unexpected blowout.. no matter where you go , or what decade it is , the food always tastes the same, and sometimes that's exactly what you need..“

“This is my second time here at chi tiva. I visit the location downtown first and second time at the Worth, IL location. My experience completely different from the first time around. I visit location downtown informing workers my first time how they offered to let us sample slushy flavors nice jester….they did not inform me of dosage and explain how it may possibly affect first timer. With that being said I ordered 50mg coffee taking a few sips and telling my sister she immediately told me to go back to check out and order a 10mg let them know it was my first time. I can say my experience second time around at the Worth location with Lori she greeted us and explained everything we were interested in getting letting us know dosages and tolerance level. I mentioned at the end I really appreciate her customer service and explaining super knowledgeable. I told myself I would probably not come back but this experience definitely worth coming back when in town. Thank you!“

I thought it was so rude seeing people freely put tables together to fit their party of 10 and stay there for hours while other individuals or couples can’t even pop a squat.I know many will probably tell me to go to the library or stay home if I want quietness and I think after these experiences I might just do that!It would be nice to enforce some kind of mutual respect for others or for coffee shop owners to create a quiet space for those that way to work on their work quietly while enjoying the environment ?I don’t have the desire to be a business owner but someone please take my idea and do it. “My server demi was very attentive and got everything right in my very detail difficult order I always have crazy requests and she meet every need of mine. She was quick with getting us drinks and made us feel like we were the only ones in the in the restaurant even tho it was very busy and packed. The sundae consisted of Grasshopper flavored ice cream with gummy bears, hot fudge, and nuts.Aside from the treats and ice cream flavors, I really appreciated the customer service. When I first got the sundae, I noticed the gummy bears were missing on my sundae. When addressed this, one of the staff members fixed my order and it made my night. I’d come back again.“

The shop is in a restored Pullman executive home, right across from the NPS site, with cozy common seating areas, lots of books to peruse, and historic artifacts from the historic district. The shop raises money for the Pullman House Project, a non-profit in the same building that provides guided tours of period Pullman homes. Between the NPS location, the Pullman House Project tour and then a coffee after, it's a great afternoon plan!“

The Bananas Foster was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of banana flavor and spice. The Bourbon’s buttery caramel notes were perfection. The Cold Brew was one of the best I’ve ever had. Easy to sip or guzzle, the dark roast cold brew was refreshing and so smooth. Every time I sit down in a booth it makes me feel like i can talk about nothing, (a Seinfeld reference). The menu is full of classic diner dishes, from hearty breakfast options to juicy burgers and sandwiches to homemade soups and salads. I particularly enjoyed the Tuna melt, which was perfectly put together with just the right amount of cheese and tune on white bread. The French toast was also excellent, with a soft and fluffy texture that melted in my mouth. But if you want the traditional, just order the all American breakfast, 2 sunny side up eggs with hash browns and two slices of bread, along with a cup of coffee. Everything is delicious. The staff at De Mar's are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were quick to offer suggestions on what to order and were always on hand to refill drinks or answer any questions. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. There is plenty of seating, so you won't have to wait long to be seated, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service. I've probably spent $80 on donuts for our work crew in the last few days and everyone has been very happy with his suggestions on donut flavors.“

Our fries were always crisp and hot, not dried out. Burgers are always made to order and the patties are hand made and pressed. Super thin patties with crispy, buttery edges. Yummy! The softdrinks are well balanced. My kids love getting cherry coke because it's made fountain style with maraschino cherries. We feel like family and really enjoy the food. What's not to love? “I’m not from this area, I actually live in NW Indiana but sometimes come out this way for work. This is by far the best DD I’ve been too, besides the location in Munster, IN. No matter how busy they are, the line always moves fast, my drinks are always made well, my food is always done fresh (I get the avocado toast) and the toast is crispy but not burnt. Anywhere else the avocado toast is usually soggy or cold. But not at this location. The employees are always so friendly and nice. Never had an issue ever. All I know is that the DD locations in NW Indiana need to take some lessons from the management/staff at the Alsip location because they’re doing something right. Wish I could get this type of service at the other locations. Good job! ?“
