“Love there 🍟 and coffee ☕️ and sandwich“

“When heading towards Beverly for a property management home inspection, I wanted to find a local coffee joint that I could get a coffee and a snack of some sort. Afro Joe's was calling to me. Walking in, greeted warmly, the adventure began. If you haven't been, check the menu before you go because you will want to order one of each item! Since it was my first time, most certainly NOT the last, I needed a lifeline. Charmaine to the rescue. I don't know if I manifested or she read my mind , but when I asked which sandwich I should order instantly , she said the short rib! Boom! Done. Next up, a drink choice. Again I was not led astray. The option was a blueberry lavender cold brew topped with rose cold foam. As she was suggesting the option, Charmaine lifted the one she was drinking and again instantly sold. No chocolate croissant available since it was later in the morning but the chocolate morning roll was there and three for three, the order was placed. I already know that I have to come back, time and time again.Just walking in such a chill vibe , perfect music, everyone tables either working or chatting with a friend. The open kitchen invites you to see the hustle and bustle. The garage doors roll up onto the patio for warmer days and what appears to be local art work adorns the walls. When I tell you, this is absolutely no exaggeration, every item was on point! The short rib was so flavor forward eith the bite of picked onions, there was a side of diced pickles and onions too. Also a hit. The warm bun had some fruit nestled in its chocolatey tummy, flakes and moist with the richness of cocoa. And for the latte, cold, sweet and the flavors all complimented each other so well. I did opt for whole milk because, why not?!? I had one too many client emails and texts to be able to enjoy grabbing a book from the shelf but note, they even had the sharpest of colored pencils to doodle or write a note with. I have not one complaint, well, maybe one, I wish they were in my neighborhood because this would be a staple place to visit regularly! Until we meet again and I can get my hands on a chocolate croissant next...or any one of the other of their baked goods. Support your Local Black Owned Businesses!“

“Wonderful space for black people looking to share their art or make friends. I was immediately welcomed and made to feel comfortable. They do require food purchase but it’s worth it, the quesadillas came with this unique mango salsa I loved.“

“Wow this place is gorgeous, I first walked in and thought I was transported to a different place, but I do have some bad things to say other than the good food, me and my friend had there crepes and they were delicious but not worth the 14 dollars for the pizza slice portion they gave us. The complaint I have was that the used all of the budget on the dining room but couldn’t afford to spruce up the restrooms. The floor in the bathrooms was cracking, the toilet was leaking, the door had to be slammed closed because it wasn’t on the hinges properly. The employee outside of the bathroom was also smoking indoors. Food was delish though!“

“First time here and I loved it! I came during that quiet time between lunch and after work. They have locally-made gelato! They have an AWESOME barista! I am really sorry I forgot to ask their name. Whoever was working Tuesday afternoon, you are great, thank you. They make their own syrups, y'all AND THERE IS WINE, by the glass or bottle and they're open til EIGHT! And there's Open Mic tomorrow (Wednesday) night!! Signups at 6:45!“

“My friends and I were visiting from out of town and had plans to go somewhere else for a quick breakfast, but it ended up being closed, and so we ended up stumbling into Robust! The sandwiches were all so good, and they had options for all types of cravings and taste. The baristas and cashier were so knowledgeable on the menu, and had great service. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good sandwich or light lunch!“

“I cannot say enough great things about Cafe 53! Not only is the service second to none, but they are extremely accommodating to allergies including a gluten allergy and someone in our party who was allergic to garlic. Absolutely 10/10, I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!!“

Give the French Toast Latte a try- I don’t love super sugary coffees, this was a great balance (delicious flavor but not too sweet)! And the maple coffee syrup is made in house. My husband got the banana bread cold brew- never tasted anything like it, unique and tasted exactly like banana bread in a cup! Highly recommend 😍“

“Visited Jazwah Coffee today. It was my first time tasting Yemeni coffee. What a treat! The service was outstanding. Amer, a very pleasant server, took the time to make some outstanding recommendations for a newbie, a latte with a fresh cookie warmed up!

The shop was clean, modern, and bright. I noted many electric outlets and people working while enjoying their coffee. There was plenty of seating.

I would highly recommend stopping especially if you're in the area. I was there about 1pm and the traffic was very heavy. Yet, Jazwah was worth it!

“One of the best local breakfast or lunch spots in town! I've been by a few times with friends over the last few months and have tried the avocado toast and a few other items. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and even offered us complimentary soups while we were waiting for our meals, which arrived quickly and tasted absolutely amazing. For the quality of the food, the prices are insanely cheap. The monster cookie is to DIE for. Highly recommend you stop in and check this place out if you need coffee or a good healthy morning or afternoon meal!“

One morning their espresso machine had broken but the young lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful. I ordered a cold brew instead. The next day I got an iced mocha. Both were good. “Honestly, the sterile, corporate feel of this cafe motivates me to work hard so I can finish my work quickly and get out. There's always some person coming in to yap the representatives' ears off, so just be prepped to overhear some old guy recounting his war stories to Capital One sales reps while you're finalizing a report.
HOWEVER! The baristas and baristos are wonderfully attentive and chill. Drinks being heavily discounted for cardholders is a big draw, and the cafe is always clean!“

“Every Sunday on my way to church and occasionally on my way to work during the week, I stop at this Starbucks. I love the atmosphere when I go in but most of the time, I use the drive thru. The staff is so accommodating, so courteous and kind. I always leave there humming. Love it!!!!“
