“We met my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughters for lunch. My daughter-in-law arrived before us and said that Ethan had pulled together a table for our group, adjusted the blinds as it was warm in there and offered some broken cookies for the kids as they couldn't be sold. Another gentleman came and cleared some plates. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We enjoyed our lunch.“

“Excellent treats, stunning buildout, and great service. An overall great experience. Seeing the restaurant from the street, you will not expect what you are about to experience upon entering. It's a bright, open, well-appointed, beautiful space, with vintage wood floors, and a massive mural of Frida Kahlo that occupies the entire wall. These downtown vintage buildings have high ceiling heights, further emphasizing the eye-catching mural. Not only is it a beautiful and inviting space with the aroma of coffee and sweets lingering in the air, but you are also invited to watch the churro-making process with the kitchen open for viewing by patrons (separated by glass). We shared a regular churro and a fruity churro split. Delicious! And the staff and owner are friendly and graciously take time to answer menu questions. Nestled in between two other incredible restaurants, Kubo Sushi and Sake Lounge, and El Patio, this is a nice compliment to restaurant row in downtown Elgin. Save room for dessert!“

“My Friends from church took me to Kim & Patty's for my birthday and although I've been their many times it was like a four-star experience. I just had 2 eggs over easy and they were truly farm fresh jumbo eggs. I am a Chef of 40 years and have never had a better restaurant experience any time than Kim & Patty's of McHenry.“

“In my opinion Ethereal is one of the finest chocolatiers in the country, and I particularly like the organic and natural flavorings, esp the orange chocolate which is the best which is my favorite. It is very simple to eat vegan there, and healthy. I enjoy all the plant based foods, and a hidden treasure is the protein boll, both filling and light. The herbal tes are the best I ever had, and they have much depth, combining organic teas of various flavorings. Service is friendly and laid back, and the counter area is fun for comradery and good lighting when oe is alone and perhaps wants to work. Ive gotten to know people well by sitting there. I love all their salads and I like the cucakes as much as the chocolate. It's a very attractive place, laid back and relaxing. It is very clean and well maintained. Honestly, I never ate downstairs, although I love the global ceiling on this level, which is both futuristic and subdued. Coffess seem better than average. I once drank end enjoyed a glass of warm mosel a few times per year, It was better than average. Presentations are nice, and consistent. Price points are low for the quality. While subdued, the patrons seemed upbeat and friendly, always up for discussion. I like the art, often changing. Lots of meaningful discussion to be had at the counter, esp if you enjoy the arts and literature, There are some intangibles that are appealing. many regulars, and acquantances. I enjoyed the very young and the very mature. It's the kind of place you can learn a lot just by observing and listening. On Freiday night you can expect an international crowd akin to North Michigan Avenue in Chicago and many students and musicians. Their chocolates are in retail outlets as well, which is t be expected. I expect that they;ll expand to include humus, greek yogurt as their clientele fits the demographic. Large tinted windows are peaceful. nice blend of contemporary music. probably the favorite of McHenrey County along with Aroma in Crystal Lake. Convenient to shops, sumer fun, the Oprah House, and Classic Cinema 9the lovliest meduim size, main auditorium in the midwest.“

“My daughter and I were originally going to order breakfast, but their chicken salad in an avocado looked heavenly so we went with that it was wonderful. And the young lady who waited on us was so polite and helpful, and the coffee was to die for..“
“We decided to try this place for the first time and it turned out to be an amazing choice. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Every dish came out fresh and steaming, straight from the kitchen, which made the whole experience even better. You can really tell they care about serving quality meals. “Dollys place located in East Dundee is ran by a great couple and sometime their son covers and he is just a kind. They all have a way at making them people who play here are part of the family. This location has a variety of soft drinks as well a great variety of alcoholic beverage for the over 21. Plus great snacks and chocolate. The selection for music is a great play...mix of 80's & 90's best. Its for sure a great place to play some slots. Peaceful atmosphere and the people are respectful. Give it a try you won't be disappointed I promise.“
“I have been to Stellas at least a dozen or so times. I can only speak for myself and share my experiences. There have been at least 4-5 different people working upon my visits. The staff have always welcomed me to the establishment an have always asked me if I wanted something to drink and or something to munch on at no cost to me no matter how much I ate or drank. That being said I’m sure there’s drinks or eats at a cost. No persons or employee has ever watched what I did or how much money I spent. I know it’s called gambling for a reason.
