“We had such a wonderful experience at California Pizza Kitchen, and a big part of that was because of our amazing server, Angelina!
From the moment we were seated, Angelina was incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. She made us feel so comfortable right away, which honestly sets the tone for the entire dining experience. What stood out the most was how fast and efficient she was, yet never rushed us at all. She balanced everything so perfectly.
Since we are vegetarian, we sometimes find it a little challenging to explore menus fully, but Angelina went above and beyond to guide us. Her recommendations were spot on—she really understood what would work for us and made thoughtful suggestions that we absolutely loved. It felt like she truly cared about us enjoying our meal, not just taking an order.
We were also dining with kids, and she handled everything so sweetly and patiently. She was so kind and engaging with them, making sure they were comfortable, happy, and had everything they needed. That extra level of care does not go unnoticed, especially when you’re dining as a family.
Angelina was consistently checking in at just the right moments, making sure our table was clean, drinks were refilled, and everything was perfect—without ever being intrusive. That level of attentiveness is rare and truly appreciated.

“The restaurant is nice and big. It is clean! The waitstaff is great, friendly and efficient . The food is very very good and you know it's a great place to go when there is a wait line, sometimes out the door. You have the option to eat outside in good weather. My husband and I always try to get the cozy two seater table in the little nook by the window. The food is very tasty and plenty of flowing coffee. Due to illness we are not able to come out much, but I sure miss this place. Lots of wonderful Saturday morning breakfast memories. Wishing you great continued success.“

When they went up to the counter, the employee mentioned that it needs to be purchased on the app. With them not having a clear understanding that the ice cream was included in their kids meal and was on the receipt, the manager got involved and said she will write it in the book so when they come in next, they will receive the free ice cream. Fast forward a couple weeks later, sure enough the manager did leave the name in the book and the kids were able to get the free ice cream. “If you are a chips and salsa fan and choose your Mexican restaurants based on that, you are going to be very disappointed. Chips were WAY to salty and the salsa was a chi-chi's/Pace clone.....very mediocre at best. Usually that is not a good sign of what is to come, but in this one case, it did not tell the whole story. The food was actually very good. I had steak enchiladas mole which was outstanding, and we also had shrimp fajitas which were also excellent. If you like mexican seafood dishes, this is definitely the place for you, and the menu has a ton of seafood options. We had a queso appetizer and it was decent.....but brought out cold. Definitely would've been better if hot. Overall it is worth giving this place a try. I would strongly suggest to the owner....less salt on the chips, and a new salsa recipe.“

“I had a wonderful experience at Hickory Roasters Restaurant at Rolling Meadows. The chicken was delicious, juicy, and the wood-fired flavor gave it an amazing taste. The coleslaw and spicy roasted potatoes were also outstanding and complemented the meal perfectly.

What really stood out to me was the welcoming atmosphere. Watching one of the owners interact with a regular customer made it feel more like a family dinner than a typical restaurant. The staff was friendly and made everyone feel at home.
