My family all ordered different things (zopes, flautas, a beef stew, pupusas and more). And we even had some delicious desserts including fried ice cream. The portions were very generous and the prices were amazing. The owner's whole family works there and you can tell that they put their heart into the business. I would highly recommend giving them a try.“

“We just celebrated my wife's surprise 65th birthday Sunday with 14 family members. We chose El vado #2 Mexican Restaurant and couldn't be any happier. From them going out of their way purchasing ballons and banners to her complimentary frozen ice cream the service, food and drinks were phenomenal. Very warm and welcoming staff. Very appreciative of your business and fantastic atmosphere. Thank you for this memory. Never felt rushed. Everyone in our family raved on how great it was and was one of our best parties ever. Familiar with their other restaurant in McHenry which is also excellent and reasonably priced. You have to try this place if you like mexican food. A+++“

“I love this place because the staff member carded me with a serious face so they get top scores for that even though I haven’t been carded in years (I think if they card any female over 40 or 50 they will continue to get great reviews with very happy customers feeling better). The food was outstanding. We first tried it at an event where someone had the pop-up service. We had to come to the actual place after trying it there. After eating at Invicto, I can never go to Chipotle again. The margaritas were terrific. I can see why people are raving about this place! The food and drinks are too delicious that we will want to go here too much when in Vernon Hills and will have to worry about weight gain stuffing our faces (which is a good issue to have).“

“Stopped by on a whim and was very, very surprised. The outside is quite attractive with an outside eating area. The inside is nice and clean with plenty of seating. We ordered chips and salsa, Pollo with Mole, and the Steak Burrito Fajita. The chips are homemade (as expected) and very good. The chicken in the Pollo with Mole was super tender. The mole was rich. It came with homemade corn tortillas. The Steak Burrito is filled with fajita fillings, so steak, green and red peppers, and onions. The flour tortilla was filled and grilled giving the whole a nice smokey flavor. It was one of the very best burritos I have ever had. Look over my reviews. I have eaten a lot of burritos. They have a creamy salsa verde that is great, a very nice Roja sauce, and a hot sauce that is no joke hot. Our server was great and the whole experience was a great one. Will be back soon.“

“Great dinner tonight. Mexican Indian Fusion. The seasoned chips were served hot and Salsas were flavorful. Portions were plentiful and the prices were family friendly. You can choose 3 different street tacos with rice and beans for $15! The staff was very attentive as we were outside dining. And the waiter left us a pitcher of water for the table. It was most appreciated. We definitely will return.“

“This is a taqueria within a small Mexican grocery store. The food is fabulous, the carne asada tacos are delicious but the barbacoa is also excellent, not to mention probably the best carnitas I've ever had outside of Chicago. The barbacoa and carnitas are also available by the pound which is an awesome option. The ambience is very basic, two tables and a few chairs, not pretty but the food is phenomenal and prices are very reasonable.“

Service was delightful. Very kind people. There was a small mix up and it was handled with ease, nothing to complain about.

The overall atmosphere was very welcoming. The kindness along with the amazing smell only complimented their clean and well maintained seating area. Very well lit and great music of which was not too loud or too soft.

“I went there on May 19th around 6:30 p.m I ordered a steak burrito it was pretty good it was very hot however the steak had absolutely no flavor to it The rice and beans were pretty good. The service was phenomenal little bit of a language barrier because I don't speak Spanish but good thing I had my Google translator and the guys that were there were totally awesome“

“We went to Mago in Barrington last night for the first time and were blown away. They were very busy so we sat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Food was terrific and the menu features things you won’t find at your standard Mexican restaurant like three choices of mole. Tableside guacamole is absolutely lovely. I have to say, though, what made our experience was watching the magnificent bartender. His efficiency, speed, and obvious dedication to what he was doing was just a marvel. He never stopped moving!
