“Simply AMAZING! Ochoa’s is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. We recently used them for catering (25 people), and everything exceeded our expectations. Communication was top-notch, portions were huge, and the food was incredible. Guests couldn’t stop talking about the juicy chicken and steak, the homemade chips and salsas, and guacamole that could honestly be eaten by the spoonful. Mr. Ochoa truly takes pride in his food — you can taste the love in every bite. Highly recommend for both dining in and catering!“

“Last week I was on my way to take my son for a haircut and decided to stop and eat here. It was my first time. Service was great and food delicious. I was not having a good day but tried my best to not show it. As I'm eating I saw a man come in. Eat by himself and then left. My surprise when I went to go pay. This man had paid for my food. Who ever it was Thank you so much if this is ever read. That was a beautiful gesture and completely made my day. I got my son his haircut and took him for some ice cream afterwards. “This is a taqueria within a small Mexican grocery store. The food is fabulous, the carne asada tacos are delicious but the barbacoa is also excellent, not to mention probably the best carnitas I've ever had outside of Chicago. The barbacoa and carnitas are also available by the pound which is an awesome option. The ambience is very basic, two tables and a few chairs, not pretty but the food is phenomenal and prices are very reasonable.“

“This is our first time here although it’s a chain restaurant the food was very very good. I would not call it truly authentic Mexican food but for a chain restaurant here in the US great atmosphere great food and ask for Carlos when you’re in.“

“I sat in and got the birria tacos, and they were SO good. The horchata, churros, rice, and beans were delicious and tasted authentic too. I’m extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food, so I don’t say this lightly, but everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The owner was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel really warm and comforting. You can really tell they care about the food and the people who come in.

Definitely recommend giving Taco Verde a try if you’re in Glenview. 10/10! ❤“

“I just found out about this place and called for pick up just before they were going to close. He is so nice and genuine to speak with on the phone, my food was hearty and savory. The atmosphere is fun and colorful and I ended up getting the last slice of Flan!

However it seemed as if the lettuce and tomato overpowered the steak/ beans & cheese? Not quite sure but something was off with the lettuce ? It did seem to be the typical shredded lettuce I've had in other burrito's?“

“Stopped by on a whim and was very, very surprised. The outside is quite attractive with an outside eating area. The inside is nice and clean with plenty of seating. We ordered chips and salsa, Pollo with Mole, and the Steak Burrito Fajita. The chips are homemade (as expected) and very good. The chicken in the Pollo with Mole was super tender. The mole was rich. It came with homemade corn tortillas. The Steak Burrito is filled with fajita fillings, so steak, green and red peppers, and onions. The flour tortilla was filled and grilled giving the whole a nice smokey flavor. It was one of the very best burritos I have ever had. Look over my reviews. I have eaten a lot of burritos. They have a creamy salsa verde that is great, a very nice Roja sauce, and a hot sauce that is no joke hot. Our server was great and the whole experience was a great one. Will be back soon.“

“We went to Mago in Barrington last night for the first time and were blown away. They were very busy so we sat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Food was terrific and the menu features things you won’t find at your standard Mexican restaurant like three choices of mole. Tableside guacamole is absolutely lovely. I have to say, though, what made our experience was watching the magnificent bartender. His efficiency, speed, and obvious dedication to what he was doing was just a marvel. He never stopped moving! We will definitely be back as every aspect of our experience was very enjoyable.“
