“I recently visited this spot and tried the Nova Lox Bagel. While the bagel itself was fresh and well-toasted, the salmon was a letdown. Nova lox is typically known for being less salty than regular smoked salmon, but in this case, it was overly salty and overwhelmed the other flavors. The toppings, like cream cheese, capers, and onions, were well-balanced, but the saltiness of the salmon really detracted from the overall experience.

I also decided to try the apricot cookie, but that turned out to be a mistake. I was surprised to learn it cost nearly $5—far more than I expected for a single cookie. Unfortunately, the taste was disappointing; it was so unpalatable that I couldn’t even finish it. The texture was dense and off-putting, and the apricot flavor was barely there. It felt like a waste of money, and I left feeling dissatisfied.

The prices were reasonable for the bagel, but the quality didn’t fully match my expectations. As for the cookie, it was overpriced and not worth trying again. Overall, a mixed experience—there’s potential, but the execution fell short.“

“Love this bagel shop/fresh muffins too. My son loves their breakfast sandwiches, I love all the variety of bagels, muffins, and coffees. My favorite is the cheesy bagel twists. Variety of cream cheese flavors as well.“

“We drove from Genoa City Wisconsin because we heard how delicious everything was. We were NOT disappointed. The meat on our sandwiches, one corned beef and one pastrami, was piled high! Homemade brined pickles and bakery items exceeded our expectations. Worth the drive and we will be back.“

“I've been here three times in the past year and have been wowed each time. The employees are always nice and accommodating. The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. Bagels are chewy, thaw nicely after being in my freezer for a bit, and make excellent sandwiches. Thank you for the Windex and cleaning up my water bottle catastrophe ;)“

“We were in last week. Had chicken noodle soup and a poultry salad sandwich on a salted pretzel bagel. Both huge and delicious. Great value for what you get and the man at the counter was very kind and patient with these first time visitors!“

“This coffee shop has the best atmosphere - inside AND outside! The inside was very clean and modern. Baked goods (cinnamon) were fresh and delicious as was the hot chocolate! Friendly staff.
The outside was my favorite part: Great for people-watching (large corner lot). Heaters were installed ON the awnings, which covered the entire table, and not just on a tall pole on part of the table. The best part was the doggy Biscuit Bar - awesome, varied dog treats and water on an outdoor cart. See photos

“Update:
I went a second time to try more things. I wouldn't recommend the potato pancakes. I don't know if it was an off day but the potatoes were dry, like they were left out for too long and then fried.
But the belly lox sandwich was amazing! On the salty side but that's how we like it. It came with a side of potato salad which was also amazing.

The food was good but not great. The bagel and cream cheese were good and standard but the pastrami hash and eggs were okay with not a lot of flavor. I'll definitely go back to try different Bagels and other items.“

“I finally was in the area and managed to stop by and try this bakery out today. Having a nut allergy, safe bakeries are extremely hard to come by. The fact that this place is also delicious will have me back for sure. Nice employee, delicious treats, I definitely recommend.“

“Was at Port Clinton Art Fair, had just gotten Italian ice, and saw these beautiful croissants out of the corner of my eye. I quickly did an about face. The Crème Brûlée croissant 🔥🔥and the Almond Croissant 🥇if you guys already do a Koigin Aman, I need to try it, if you don,t, you should!,Your laminated dough is wonderful & buttery, top notch.“

“Very tasty! I ordered the breakfast bagel sandwich and WOW, so good. I also ordered a few bagels to take away: plain, chocolate chip, cinnamon sugar, and pretzel w salt.

The girl who helped me was very sweet and recommended the house-made vegetable cream cheese. Mmmm. So good! Much better than a grocery store or chain bakery.

Unfortunately, I agree with another reviewer who said that some employees are unfriendly and don’t seem happy to be there. I witnessed an employee waiting on an elderly gentleman who needed more patient assistance. Ironically, the employee helping him was wearing a shirt that said “Be a Nice Human” 😕 In my experience, a genuine smile can go a long way. In customer-facing positions, it’s essential to be kind, patient and caring of those who are patronizing the business and possibly leaving a tip.“

“I never really do reviews after getting a lunch. But today I really wanted to say i had the best tacos i have ever had today. I ordered 2 chicken and 1 ground beef American style. The beef taco was Amazing and chicken. Definitely will return for lunch soon. ❤️“

“Superb bagel shop! Bagels are fresh and a wide variety of "schmears" are available. Einstein Bros. is easily superior to Big Apple Bagels, and this shop makes for a vast improvement in Plaza del Prado. The assortment is similar, but the bagels at Einstein Bros. are fresher than those of any Big Apple location. This is a wonderful place to go for coffee and/or breakfast.“
