“Everything a matcha latte should be. Balanced in every way. Also ordered a bagel sandwich which was pretty good - as an East Coaster bagels in Chicago just don’t hit the same however it was decent. Definitely a bit pricey but overall worth it!“

“My friends & I visited Chicago alllll the way from Nebraska for the My Chemical Romance concert August 2025. The next morning we came to Tilly Bagel Shop for breakfast & to be honest I think about the bagel sandwich I ate here at least once a week! Anytime I hear of a friend coming to Chicago I tell them they absolutely have to come here! I wish there was a way you could ship bagels because I’d be placing an order weekly!“

“Bagel Miller is a go-to spot in Lincoln Square. The branding and atmosphere are fun and creative, the staff is welcoming, and the bagels, coffee, matcha, and chai are delicious. They have a gluten free bagel option too (although it is not homemade like their bagels made with gluten). The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey but still worth it for the taste.“

“I would easily consider bagels to be one of my favorite foods, and going to grab an iced latte and a fun bagel flavor is one of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday morning - so when I heard that the Gotham Bagels South Loop location was open, I knew I had to check it out! Gotham Bagels has been on my list for a LONG time, and it definitely did not disappoint! We tried a couple of their specialty sandwiches along with a classic sweet bagel to round it all out! My absolute FAVORITE from the meal was the Brighton Beach - the smoked salmon was perfect, the ratio of ingredients was incredible, and the flavor of the everything bagel tied everything together! I’d highly recommend checking out the South Loop Gotham Bagels location!“

“L&W has been a GIFT to the neighborhood! We worked with their team to have a small cake made for our daughter's first birthday and it was not only delicious, but they were very intentional with the questions they asked for the baking process. The staff is friendly, inclusive and passionate. Not to mention, their coffee and food is so, so tasty. One of the best everything bagels I've had in a minute and who doesn't love a Skully boi. SUCH a vibe.“

“It’s not the best bagel. But everyone that works there is always friendly and gets my order right and gets it ready quickly. They have a great selection of drinks and some fun bagels. It’s not a bad place to sit and eat your bagel. Also be ware they charge for everything that tomato was 50¢!“

“blown away. fantastic coffee, delicious flavors, and amazing food. you can definitely taste that the espresso is very high quality and that the baristas are skilled at what they do (something that's not as common as I'd like among Chicagoland coffee shops). the syrups they use are some of the best I've ever tasted, hands down. the torta was also delicious, ingredients tasted fresh and very well prepared and assembled. the only small complaint is that the matcha isn't particularly strong, but the amazing flavor of everything else honestly makes up for it.“

“Ordered the delivery from here a few times. In most cases the bagels are wonderful.

I did had one time when I found a plastic piece inside of my bagel 😬😬😬 which is a big issue IMO (image attached)“

“This is hands down my favorite bagel shop. The bagels are always fresh, soft on the inside, and perfectly crisp on the outside. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, and the quality is consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always provides great service, even when they’re busy.

What really sets this place apart is the ownership. The owner is genuinely one of the best people I’ve met—kind, hardworking, and someone who truly cares about both the customers and the community. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and that shows in every aspect of the business.

“This is one of those places that is easy to drive past without realizing how good it is. It is a low key gem just west of the West Loop and a great option if you are looking for breakfast or lunch without dealing with the crowds.

The bagels are fresh, the sandwiches are filling, and there are plenty of lunch options to choose from. It is the kind of place that becomes part of your regular rotation once you find it.

With so many restaurants in this area, spots like this can get overlooked, but that would be a mistake. If you have never stopped in before, you are definitely missing out. I will keep coming back.“
