The father daughter duo clearly loves what they do and it shines through in their food. They are featured at the Holocaust Museum’s “I’ll have what she’s having” exhibit which goes into the history of Jewish Delicatessens and their importance in America. The lox and bagel here is the highlight of our week!“

“I've always bought Kasia's frozen pierogi's in my local market and honestly did not know that Kasia Deli was the same company. I was delighted to see other products made fresh like the cabbage rolls that I did not hesitate to ask for. They were sold by weight so I bought 2 pounds, 1 IB with no sauce and 1 IB with what seems like a thin layer of tomato sauce. I did ask for extra sauce which I thought I was getting a few ounces but only saw that she gave a 1 oz ($.35) added to my bill. (I suggest you not get extra sauce). I did see a box of kolaczki cookies on top of the deli counter and I thought they were made in-house (they are not). The cookies were doughy and not enough fruit jam. Overall, the food was fantastic and I would come back for more cabbage rolls and fresh pierogi's. Location is convenient and they have limited free parking spots on the side of the building.“

“Most people come to my DM asking me how the love spell work. I will be explaining this; my love spell reunites two people with or without feelings. It creates that feeling between both parties and make them inseparable. It tightens the bond (if there was one in the first place), and it is guaranteed to bring your lover back to you. If you are in love with someone and he / she doesn't reciprocate the gesture, then you can use this to attract that lover into your life. It brings back your ex, and help solve broken marriages. Life is too short to be unhappy. Think about that.happiness and love. NOTE: This is totally harmless and have no side effect whatsoever happiness and love..dr.patrick“

Baltimore Food and Liquors Deli • $
13322 S Baltimore Ave, Chicago

“Love this place and their shish-ka-bobs! From reading on the internet, the original owners have moved to Cedar Lake. The shish-ka-bobs taste the same (my husband thinks better) at the Baltimore Street location, and I love the whole historical ambiance of Hegewisch, so I won't be making the drive to Cedar Lake. They offer 2 versions of the kabobs (original and lemon), and the gentleman working there gave me a free sample (very generous) of the lemon version that is on chicken. I liked the lemon flavor on the chicken (normally, I don't like lemon things, like lemon rice soup) but I thought they went a bit heavy with the salt on the lemon version. The chicken itself was very good--no random scraps of fat. The original version of the kabobs are really that good, and unlike what some have posted, I have never had someone crabby behind the counter in the years I have been going there.“

“Jak sie masz??? (in Borat accent) Andy's Deli is the greatest Polish Deli on earth! If I lived in Chicago I'd be here all the time. This is Polish food heaven -- why spend the money going to Poland when you can have all the best food of Poland RIGHT HERE? Minimal English spoken here.....it's the real deal! We regularly order a package of Polish goods from Andy's to arrive just in time for Easter (FEDEX 2 day) . One time we received the package late and everything had increased to ambient temperature. Andy's was gracious enough to send a new package at no charge (about $100 worth of foods). Shipping foods to California is not that cheap because of the shipping charges and mandatory cooling packs, but when the sausages arrive here it's such a treat! Check them out online for orders to your state. I finally visited here in person while visiting Chicago ....and it's such a fantastic spot -- everything you could ever imagine Polish food wise -- from periogi to kapusta to bigos to sausages. Kielbasa heaven!Love this place and wish we had something like this in CA!“

But I'm mostly leaving a review to respond to the reviewer here who is surprised that a JEWISH deli doesn't carry ham and cheese. It must be painful to be so phenomenally stupidAnyway, if you set your expectations right and don't expect to be served pork or cheese at a Jewish deli (lol) you'll have an amazing experience.“

Celina's Delicatessen Deli • $

“It's a shame that there are so few of these delis left in the area; there used to be three or four along a couple of miles of Archer down here (including Bobak's), but I guess the demographics no longer supports them. It was a joy to find this place by accident. We go to this tiny place mainly for the beet borscht, bigos (to DIE for!), and pierogis. I smiled when I noticed they actually have wooden barrels of kapusta and pickled cukes wedged into a rear corner. They have all different kinds of fresh pierogi and, for such a small space, a pretty good sausage/meat selection. I know very little about East European sausage names, but it would probably be wise to call ahead if you are looking for a certain kind.“

Buenos Aires Deli Deli • $$
3100 N Cicero Ave, Chicago

“IT is a small little store and although it is categorized as a liquor store, it is so much more than that. They sell the absolutely best alfajores and for that alone it deserves all the stars in the world. It is reasonably priced and you are supporting a small business. I only had one of their empanadas and although I am not sure how fresh it is, it still beats other places that claim to sell Argentinian empanadas but it is anything but authentic. Here, the owners are very welcoming and they also have a great selection of Argentinian wines.“

Andy's Deli & Mikolajczyk Sausage Shop Inc Deli • $

“I grew up in Chicago but my grandparents & mom are from Poland. This is the ONLY deli that my grandfather would buy sausages, ham, head cheese etc. from. He took me with him from the time I was a little girl. I now live in Las Vegas and the Polish Deli here buys all their sausages & deli meats from Andy's Deli in Chicago because it's THE BEST! I just put in another order & I can't wait to get it... the delicious smells take me back to my childhood & happy memories of my grandfather & me shopping for delicious sausages, ham, Polish Rye bread & poppy seed cake! I'm just thrilled that Andy's has an online deli to order all these goodies from!!! If you want THE BEST EASTER HAM, order it from Andy's.... Polish ham is lean & delicious & in my opinion, the best tasting ham out there! Check out their impressive website as you don't have to be Polish or speak it to order online... everything is clearly described along with color photos of the product. I wish shipping costs were cheaper but the taste of the sausages etc. is worth it!!! Their prices are actually very reasonable compared to delis I've shopped in town & none of them are as good as Andy's for authentic Polish sausages, hams, bread or bakery goods!“
