I've been going to Mikolajczyk's for 60 years (ever since the store was on Division & Wood St. in Chicago. I've only encountered a few problems with the food in that period of time. However, there is one cashier (main cashier I gather) that's been there since the store was on Milwaukee Av & Central Park (over 30 years). She is the most unfriendly person in the world -- she must think she's doing me a favor by selling the goods to me, instead of vice versa. I used to go there once/week;...read full review

The hot bar are so affordable and delicious, and the selection and quality of the foods especially the imported butter are my favorite. Wishing they have Switzerland butter in a red can.
