“Brewpoint is a gem in the Western suburbs of Chicago. I am entirely blessed to live blocks from their craft location on York. Exposed brick, chandeliers, and a plant wall surrounds you - a grateful reprieve from cookie cutter Starbucks decor. Coffee, matcha, and baked goods are top notch (haven't tried cocktails or charcuterie yet). A wonderful mix of professionals, college students, community organizers, and socially conscious suburban moms escaping the kids (I'm sure I'm missing wonderful others). Sometimes I'm not sure how I manage to keep living in the suburbs when the city is still home for me after 10 years in Elmhurst, but Brewpoint certainly makes it easier.“

“Great place to meet for coffee or breakfast, one of the few places in Oak Park that are suitable for a business conversation. So many cafes are too small, too loud, or too inconvenient to get to/park. It's spacious and has lots of room between tables for privacy. Drink choices are creative. I had the turmeric latte and egg breakfast bowl and it was delicious, very filling and freshly made. It's not a super fast place though, so don't go if you're in a hurry.“

“I came upon this café with my boyfriend a while back and I have to say, its the perfect mom and pop breakfast/lunch café. Located in a quiet quaint strip with ample parking. During the summer they even offer outdoor seating to those that would choose. Mimi is always on top of her customer care and knowledge of the menu. You will never have an empty coffee cup and you will always leave in a better mood because of her warm and bubbly personality. That kind of positivity is contagious! Even on slightly busy days, Mimi and her staff work very hard to learn their customers and welcome them back like family. Its very enjoyable observing how warm the staff is to nrw and returning cutomers. This is my favorite breakfast nook now and I know it will be for you too if you truly appreciate a family home-cooked atmosphere <3“

“After driving past Elijah's in the mornings for the last few months I finally decided to stop in and give it a try (you should always try to support local). I ordered a large Black Coffee with a shot of espresso, I even mentioned to the guy making my coffee that it was my first time here and he was polite and said Welcome. (When was the last time you heard someone say welcome?) The girl behind the counter asked if I wanted anything else and I asked If they made there Scones fresh and she said yes we bake daily. I bought a variety to bring to the gig for the crew this morning. My Coffee was made exactly the way I make it at home and the Scones were still warm and made me feel like I was on Arthur Avenue at Morrone's pastry in the Bronx waiting in line for them to come out of the oven fresh. I must give Elijah's Coffee 5 stars today and recommend it to everybody and I will now be a customer. “My parents and I were looking for a place eat in Northfield after driving an hour to pick up the ashes of our dog who passed two weeks ago from blood cancer. Found this place two minutes from the pet hospital located in an office building. Owner was super chill made our food fresh and was super generous. They had these cookies by the register I think the owners baked themselves they all looked really good we got one of each (pecan, cookies and cream, m&m, and this one with caramel on top) and the owner gave us two for free and chips with our meals and reheated my dad’s soup when asked (dad’s picky) to be super hot (dad was happy). We took our food to go and ate right outside the office building by this little fountain which I think is the way to go if the weather accommodates it. I got the chicken pesto panini I don’t even like pesto but I liked this panini the bread was crisp the cheese melty and the vegetables happy (not soggy). Honestly the cookies I enjoyed the most; cookies and cream was really good it had like these big chunks of white chocolate which were awesome but the best was the caramel one CRAZY GOOD definitely get one. Anyways I miss my dog love you Beowulf rest well now.“

“Tribute in Villa Park is the coziest, quirky little night spot around! Tribute is not way off the beaten path located across the street from the Villa Park Historical museum and the Illinois Prairie Path.

When you're inside Tribute you just feel at home and you get a neighborly backyard party kind of feeling.

The staff is super friendly and they have a fun trivia night on Wednesdays.

There's a spacious outdoor patio and a cozy banquet/ meeting room with floor to ceiling windows that makes you feel like your outdoors.

“We love Eli’s Cheesecake in Chicago and have been coming every year ( at least 10 years as of now) to pick up cheesecakes for the holidays. We usually buy 20+ cheesecakes for our friends and neighbors, and the service is always wonderful. Rosa, the store manager, was always especially kind and helpful during our visits. So and Bryan and the rest of the team this past holiday were friendly and helpful too.

At the last minute, I added some bagels to my dinner order to have for tomorrow, and when the order arrived, there was an apology note about the Everything bagels being not up to standard and overdone, and small gift with the order to make up for it. That is incredible customer service. (Oh, and my salad and soup — and even the extra toasty bagel I tried — were all fresh and delicious.)“
