“So far I’ve eaten at Vasco’s twice with my coworker. The food is delicious. It is perfectly spiced, chicken is cooked to perfection and not dry. The garlic sauce is very tasty. It is very clean. The people working there are extremely nice and helpful. My coworker doesn’t know much about Indian food so she had a lot of questions. They were patient and answered all of the. The owner came to our table both times we were there to ask how things were. It is a place that you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We are already planning our next visit.“

“One of the best restaurants in Chicago! The lunch special is my favorite - the most flavorful kabobs and rice (I upgrade to the Kabuli style rice). I also love the Kabuli Palaw (lamb shank). Service is always efficient and friendly. Afghan Kabob is worth a visit even if you're not in the area!“

“We stopped here on a whim while we waited for a tire repair at the local Firestone. Super friendly staff. Lots of customers coming in to place orders. My husband daughter ordered fries chicken and chicken tenders with fries and they did warn us it would take twenty mins because they cook them fresh to order. They were the crispiest, tastiest, flakiest pieces of chicken. The fries were awesome too. I had a single chicken taco and it was fresh, flavorful and delicious! We also ordered some bubble tea blended drinks that were good. I'm glad we stopped here.“

“I’ve been to this restaurant many times. Their food is amazing (I highly recommend all of their noodles and beef dished), but be aware that the service can be less satisfying for larger groups. They try to serve the food warm, but this means the dishes don’t always come out together. There’s also an 18% party-size fee.“

I'll tell you, the fries and the Mac is pretty damn good. I went in when everything was freshly made, almost directly after opening. This was my first time trying it. Wonderful first impression. “We were searching for a restaurant nearby and came across Wah! Taj. The reviews were really good so, decided to try it and I am glad we did. The kiddo got the combo bowl with daal n rice and chicken 65 and we got chicken biryani and the fish fry …. Everything was just so fresh and delicious and just felt like a good homemade meal. We also got Gajjar ka halwa for dessert and were just impressed with the quality of the food and the warmth and friendliness of the host. We will definitely be back for more 😀“

“For the amount and quality of food you get for the price, this place is a steal. After traveling all day and parking at the Cumberland Blue Line, we came down the road to Bab Alsalam and I cannot rave enough how amazing this place is and will be coming back each and every single time we travel out of O'Hare. The food was not only delicious, but so much flavor punched into every bite. We ordered a Chicken Shawarma Entree and the Mixed Shawarma and both were exceptional in taste. Comes with salads, pita bread, and incredibly flavorful hummus. Attached is a photo of how much food they give you. It's massive. We had enough for leftovers the next day. HIGHLY recommend this place and I'm already trying to find a way to make my way back to Chicago just to eat at this place again lol. Thanks for the amazing service!“

“Took my date here from dinner as she recommended, and was pleased as punch that it was as good as she advertised! Service was lightning quick, atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming, and the food was divine. It was my first time having Indian cuisine, and it did not disappoint one bit! I had the Butter Chicken and my date had the Cheese Dosa. Both came out hot and appetizing, and the Butter Chicken tasted amazing. 10/10, would absolutely eat here almost every day if I could.
Edit on 08/15/2026: Went back her for dinner again and it was still a banger. Get the Mushroom Cheese Dosa, it's so good.“

“My twin and I stopped by this burger joint nearby and ordered burgers with fries. All I can say is that everything was made really well. The burgers were fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, while the fries were crispy without being overly oily like they are at some other places. Overall, it was a great meal, and we'll definitely be coming back again!“

“I tried to order and the girl didn't understand English nor Spanish. She wanted to take the order but because of language barrier she got someone else. Guy was nice and recommended a pomegranate something cause I didn't like. Be careful the were charging me $1.49 fir sauces without telling me. He made it sound like they came free with chicken wings. I also asked him if onion rings were beer battered or breaded? He had no clue what that meant. Btw they are breaded and pretty good. They had good fries too. My daughter got a burger I think she liked. They have a cool machine to take a picture but its broken in back. I wanted the $20 wings but dude rang me fir two 10 pieces at $24. I corrected him in the end overcharging me $4. With experience of ringing my food not the best. Btw buffalo wings way better than the plain wings. Plain wings were looking disgusting and was super flavorless and bit cooked all the way. I went home a put in airfryer.“

The staff didn't seem friendly or welcoming, and when I asked questions, they either didn't respond properly or didn't seem interested in helping. The dining area also looked like it needed more attention—several tables were greasy and didn't appear to be cleaned promptly, which made eating in feel a bit unhygienic.
