The way others describe it is that this is normally a really chill hangout.There are truly unique drinks, seasonal meads, and on the menu there's "guilt-free" things like $3 Busch Lights for those less adventurous but want to be a part of a cool scene.I would consider this a must see stop if you're in downtown Davenport.“
“An excellent visit today! Food, beer and service were all fantastic! We brought our dog and the staff came out to meet him, and talked with us for quite some time. We felt very welcome to be there. Our server was excellent as well! We never had to wait for anything and she was very friendly. The food was so good and the bacon jam on my burger was great! Will be coming back often and would not hesitate to recommend Stompbox to anyone.“

I prefer to eat while drinking beer.Went to Radical Effect on Saturday because Floyd's Burgers food truck was there. EXCELLENT burgers (despite extra wait natural for a quality food truck).Unfortunately, Radical Effect didn't have any of their own beers on tap that interested me (which is odd, as I appreciate diversity), so I had a Victory sour I am very fond of.Five stars for Floyd's, three stars for Radical Effect, averaging out to four stars.“

The beer is great, the vibe is laid back, and I can take my 80 y/o mother in law or 22 year old Iowa Hawkeye nephew, and both do just fine there. Great job and keep it up. “Stopped here for a beer before dinner. Huge selection and variety of drafts. Bar tender was great, suggesting options and making friendly conversation. The beer we chose tapped out at 2/3 of a glass and they comped it. We found people in Moline to be super friendly, and this place was no exception. Don’t miss it.“
“Checked out this second location of a cool brewery in downtown Rock Island. It's mostly about the beers, but you can order from the food trucks that come to the parking lot. Bent River has a couple locations, with the other one in Moline. Probably the choices are better at that, but this one is better for live music and events. The prices are pretty comparable to other craft breweries it seems. A lot of times it's busy. It's especially busy on weekends and when there's live music. There's a large draft selection. It's about $7 a pint. Pretty good for local beers, so we got a few of these. Best of these last time here was the Q.C Haze, a hazy IPA. It's a strong ABV at 7.1%. There's also a pretty okay food selection. It's about $8 for shareable appetizers. The Chips And Salsa are good with anything to be honest. Great brewery that's also a restaurant where they also cook everything. It has many items as far as beer and food. The food is mostly limited to food trucks, but there's stuff like brisket and pretzels.“
“My husband and I were visiting Moline for a dart tournament from KC. Whenever we are out of town, we always visit a brewery or two. We have been to many and Midwest Ale Works is at the top of our list. We ordered flights of each beer and loved every one of them. The guy serving us was knowledgeable and the conversation with him was great. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. We will definitely be back!“
