“First time here, service was quick. Typical wait for Chinese 10-15 minutes but dont let that fool you, they know what they're doing here. Nailed the Hunan beef, the wonton soup is tremendous 👌. Worth the drive. Prices are a bit higher than others I've seen but well worth it.“

“I had green bean fried rice bowl, it was good, would get again. Chicken egg roll was ok. My husband liked beef & peppers which I tried, it was good. He got plate so his other 3 sides were chow mein noodles, fried rice & orange chicken. He liked it all plus his side of crab rangoon.“

“This is the best mom and pop Chinese in central Illinois. Lian Wang never fails, loads of delicious food for the price. The service is impeccable. On time, I placed an online order and it didn't go through correctly. This was a large 50 dollar order. I called after awhile because I hadn't received my food, it was near closing time. She stayed after hours, by herself, to personally make my food. The kicker, she gave it to me for free because of the mix up. In good conscience I paid anyway and will always support this business.“

They were busy with carry out orders… but still incredibly fast. The owners was very kind and the food hits the spot.“

I ordered curry shrimp which didn't have alot of curry as I've ordered this dish from other restaurants which had more curry flavor and more veggies other than onion and bamboo. “Low key Chicago foodie here!!! Being from Chicago, and having the diverse food scene as we do my standards are very high. I ordered the Pad woon sen it was FANTASTIC!!! The veggies were fresh and crispy. And they made it spicy for me not a dumb down spice either. It was a true spice ( I could have handled more but it was great. Did I mention the veggies were fresh and fantastic and crispy. My protein was chicken. They were about to close and i watched them washing down the stainless steel walls at the end of the day with the fresh smell of that good resturant quality professional kitchen Clorox. They were soaping the walls down!!! I’ll be back“

“I have tried Chinese food at many of the local restaurants and have found this family run restaurant the best! They have a great variety and equally great prices esp. their lunch and dinner specials. Some favorites are the Hunan Chicken, General Tsao, and the egg rolls! They have an online ordering ap that works great! Not much room to eat in so I use for take out which is perfect for now.“

“I walked in to pickup an online order tonight, gave my name, and saw that the staff had kept the smoothie in the freezer so it wouldn't melt until I arrived. Do you know how many other businesses would have just let the smoothie melt? Golden Kitchen has great customer service, nice people, expedient order execution, and delicious food. “Worth it... order to food in 15 min. The steamed dumplings had an interesting flavor to them, it was different and good. The orange chicken had a light orange flavor and packed a delicious spicy punch. The house rice left me wanting a better grain quality, but I was a big fan of the things to rice ratio. The wontons in the wonton soup had great noodle quality. They seem to use chicken broth instead of beef broth for it though, not my favorite. That may be a regional thing.“

“Many of us locals have been supporting this business for a long time now and I believe the appreciation by the owner/s shows that with the low prices and superior food selection and quality all the way around. I especially like the vast variety of food choices and the hand dip ice cream station instead of the usual soft-serve that most places have. They were really thinking out of the box. Today I took my friend, Darryl out to eat at this Chinese buffet. He had never eaten such food and I figured it was time for him to escape from his comfort zone. He was very impressed and sure didn't step away from the table hungry. By the way the cherry on the cake was that they serve Mountain Dew. That is a must for Darryl wherever he dines. I had hot tea. “My husband loves sashimi and this place offer one of the best. They have really good quality salmon sashimi. I'm a fan of Chinese food too, they have both Japanese and Chinese food and their Yang Zhou fried rice is the best we've tasted in the area. The tempura is great also. These place is truly amazing.
