Steak 'n Shake Reviews
The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. It went downhill a while ago but I can definitely say it has done a complete 360 and has honestly been one of our families favorite quick fast food locations now. Definitely better...read full review
This place peaked decades ago and has now settled for being a meme that serves trash. Courting MAGA means they know they’ll be out of business in 2-3 years and are milking it until then. Eat at your own risk.
Steak ‘n Shake is a disgusting company and hopefully will join The Rapist in the toilet of life soon.
Also, the food is gross. The two times I’ve tried it, I felt I was eating dog food formed into the shape of a patty. The meat has a strange texture. Not sure it’s truly beef.

Steak 'n Shake is a family-friendly restaurant known for its cleanliness and kind staff. The food is delicious, with options like cheeseburgers, fries, and chicken nuggets. While some customers have experienced a decline in quality over time, others appreciate the attention to detail and hardworking employees who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
The manager is pleasant, but the food quality can be inconsistent, with some meals being only warm. Customers can order at kiosks and pick up their food at the counter, as there are no servers. Steak 'n Shake is known for its original smash burgers, and customers enjoy the mustard-pickle relish. The restaurant has also changed to using all-beef tallow grease for the fries, which some customers find has improved the taste. Employees are described as great, friendly, and helpful, though some customers wish the restaurant would return to a more traditional restaurant format rather than a "workaurant" format. Vegetarian options are limited.
