“Do not be fooled that this hidden gem is located at a gas station! A group of us were randomly in the area and used google to look for a place to eat when we found Mr. Cesar’s restaurant. The food was some of the best Mexican food I’ve had! Mr. Cesar was super friendly even though we came in with a large group when they were near closing. We came back a second time on the way back from Rockford because I was craving it. The tacos (I love the chicharron tacos), the pozole and the mole chicken were some of the best I’ve had. We’re far up north and don’t live near, but will make it everytime we have to go out to Rockford (for sports cards shows). Thanks Mr. Cesar and your chefs for making such great food and to you for being so hardworking and hospitable. See you soon!“

We had a large group and although the restaurant was very busy, the service was on top of it and made sure the food came out timely, fresh and hot! Ordered to go: karahi gosht, Karachi chicken biryani special for the day, and the bbq platter (which takes about half hr to prepare) - all dishes were so good! It is a bit on the spicier side but family enjoyed the food.“
