“The place isn't too big, they have some pretty good Gyros, their fried options are average. Client service is good never average and below, I called to make an order for a pick up and they were generous with the time saying it'll be ready in 18 minutes but by the feel of the food and how warm it was I say they only needed 10 to 12 minutes to get my order ready to go.Their Gyro isn't crispy or dry like some places, its even slightly juicy. This is the place I buy my gyros at when I get the craving, there's rarely anything better.“
“We used to live over there in Palatine but unfortunately we moved to Peoria we do not mind traveling almost 3 hours just to go eat out there we love their service and there food thanks guys . gracias por su amabilidad de ustedes buen trabajo a todos ustedesKid-friendliness: Very polite and friendly nice customer service like always“
“Worth the wait and must try! Beautiful and unique venue in the unassuming town of Des Plaines. Our server was kind and welcoming, food was delicious, drinks were fun and tasty. The only two items that were less than ideal, the horrible acoustics (incredibly loud) and although it was too on my list to try, the chicken shawarma rolls were underwhelming. Even with those two items, the great service and food quality it's still worth the 5 star review. We sat upstairs, which very much appreciated, being out of the hustle and bustle of the downstairs. Looking forward to trying the brunch and the outside patio... overlooking the water.“
“Foodwise, is truly a wonderful story, somebody in the kitchen knows what to do and that translates all the way to our braines stirring waves of good sensations.Their turkish culture habits, the hours limitation for certain types of food, do not always overlap with other's schedule or expectations. The staff is very polite and forthcoming but that's so much they can do.The atmosphere is a bit bizzare, the music for example, is not in tune with the specific, the way that the tables are set, suggests rather a train fare than a regular restaurant.Their sweets shop however, is there to take away all possible clouds and make your day.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“I had the Argentinian style NY steak with vegetables and potatoes. The steak had more tendons than I expected but the tenderness and temperature was on point! I don’t even like vegetables and these were great. The Phoenix flame potatoes were amazing! So much so I ordered some to go. This place is a diamond in the rough.“
“I was not thrilled initially, but let me tell you about their burgers.Have you ever had nostalgia for 90s burgers from the former post-soviet satellite countries? Well, those burgers come as close as you can get without getting a time machine. The meat. The sauce. It is all there.Worth a try.“
“Always welcoming atmosphere, best "burek" and "cevapi u lepinji" in town. Always quick and fresh.I always feel welcome, the hosts are always in a good mood.Cevapi in a bun like at home! Excellent! Burek is always freshly prepared.“
“This is my family's go-to for authentic Mediterranean food! We are vegan and LOVE the new Impossible Kebab! The portions are generous, and they now have VEGAN Tahini Sauce! Clean and spacious eat-in area as well as a nice outdoor patio for summer, the staff is always friendly too!!Vegetarian options: Rice, Pita and Hummus, Tabouleh Salad“
“I must say, if there is one restaurant that’s always been my personal favorite, this restaurant undoubtedly takes the spot. I am always happy with quality and their consistency in making delicious food on any given day. I am a regular customer and will always be. Literally, I must have ordered for like 50 times from this place and their spicy chicken tenders are just amazing! Not just healthy options around this place, but also affordable. Thank you for serving best food for humanity!“
“Yum! This place is really good! Tried it for the first time today for dine in. We had the Olympian Pitas with fries and the Greek potatoes. Very fresh food. It took about 10-15 minutes and everything was definitely prepared fresh. The seasoning was spot on, not salty, not greasy. The fries were so tasy and the pita was nice and fluffy. You can tell they actually care when putting together your meal. For a quick delicious Greek meal I would highly recommend. Service was also excellent, the manager was friendly and greeting customers picking up takeout orders.“
“Shish Kabob and Grill is definitely a go to place of mine for great food. The server always greets customers with a smile and he even remembers my usual - the Beef Kabob. It's a welcoming restaurant for everyone who comes in, has a good selection of food, and you pay for what you get every time.Parking: The parking lot has a lot of space due to the area it is in. There's always parking right in front of the building so it's a short walk.Kid-friendliness: The server is friendly with all customers including younger ones. Always checking in to make sure pita bread is filled and water glasses are full. Helps clean up messes that are made as well.“
“Amazing every time. I've been enjoying the food here for years and have never been disappointed. Great people making delicious authentic recipes out of a basic strip mall location, better tasting than Pita Inn or anything similar in the Chicago area at great prices.“
“By far, the best steak shawarma sandwich that I've ever had! Filling was generously proportioned, with all the sauces and spices I could ask for. Add the fries on the side, with garlic dipping sauce, and you've got a lunch (or dinner) that is going to really satisfy. Staff was friendly and helpful with explaining menu options. Will definitely be returning to try the chicken and falafel.“
“Title: A Delightful Experience at Amante BakeryI recently had the pleasure of visiting Amante Bakery and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped into the bakery, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The smell of freshly baked goods filled the air, instantly making my mouth water. The star of the show was undoubtedly their Miodovnik cake. It was a true masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Every bite was an adventure of rich honey, aromatic spices, and layers of moist cake. It was obvious that a lot of care and craftsmanship went into creating this delectable treat. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the owner's Daniela dedication to customer satisfaction. They truly made me feel welcome and valued as a customer. Their attentiveness and willingness to answer my questions and provide recommendations was a testament to their passion for their craft.Overall, my visit to Amante Bakery was a memorable one. Not only did I have the opportunity to indulge in their incredible Miodovnik cake, but I also experienced a level of service that went above and beyond. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone seeking a truly exceptional bakery experience. I will definitely be returning to Amante Bakery for more of their delightful creations. “Overall decent, it’s a mall food court so of course not the best atmosphere. The bowls were great as well as the chicken shawarma, although it becomes somewhat of an overload 3/4ths of the way through. Service was great with no issues. Overall amazing “
“Outrageously great food at great prices! The staff are friendly and helpful. Location is easy to find. I had the spicy double burger with gyro meat and my mind was blown. Spicy, zesty, charred and amazing. The wife and I will definitely be back!“
“This place was great. The food was phenomenal and the service was fantastic. I made my own bowl and they walk me through all my choices. I made my own bowl with harissa chicken and falafel and it was super delish. I tried their Turkish brownie and was super. It had a good chocolaty flavor.Vegetarian options: Falafel, all kind of veggies.“
“I've been a long time patron of Pita House. It's been consistently amazing for the past 25 years. I recently decided to use Pita House for a catering even for around 150 people. I was beyond thrilled with food, my guests were all raving how fresh and succulent the meat was. We opted for two whole lambs, along with Chicken Oozie and Lamb Oozie. You can tell the chef really took their time cooking the meat slowly allowing it be fall off the bone tender. I can't thank Pita House enough for the amazing food, there was more than enough for all the guests to take home food. The hummus, and fattoush salad were also out of this world. I cannot wait to host another event and cater from Pita House. They made the whole process easy and painless, and best of all, Delicious. Keep up the great work!“
“If you’re looking for authentic, home cooked Chicago food Brandy’s is your place!! I love that it’s family owned and the food never disappoints. I’ve lived in the Chicagoland area my whole life and I’ve never had a better Maxwell Polish than the one at Brandy’s. The spicy feta gyros are another must try when visiting. The staff is always friendly and they have very fast service, even with their crazy huge menu! Anytime I visit family in Hanover park I make sure to get Brandy’s at least once a trip. Such a gem!“
“I went to this restaurant with family on 11/13 2023. We got outdoor seating and they were able to put tables together and seat us very fast. The service always had smiles on their faces and were all around very pleasant. The view was amazing, right next to the water. There was a bit of a wait for the food (which is expected for the large group we had) but they had live music and just such a great atmosphere. The food was 10/10 meeting and beating all of our expectations. Some dishes were a little pricey but not bad for the amount of food we were given and for the quality of food it was.“
“I tried to convince my wife that you don't wanna order Tacos from a place called 'Brandys Gyros' she unfortunately did not heed my warning and was nevertheless disappointed to say the least. I on the other hand stuck to a classic near impossible to mess up which was a Hot Dog with all the fixings, it was exactly as I “
“I have been to several Pita Pita locations and the food here was a little off. There were multiple pieces of shwarma that were undercooked, the hummus lacked the usual zip and the salad was overdressed. Any place can have a rough day and I am quite sure the food will be better next time.“
