“We visited this amazing establishment last night and ordered the filet and the Manhattan strip for our entrées with a side of the mushrooms, and it was possibly one of the best steaks we had had. Our server and Jesse was wonderful, and when he wasn’t available home, there was another manager who came and brought items out, so there was no delay in service while he was attending another customer and socialized at the table. We dined outside on the patio underneath the heat lamp and lights. The Barn was the perfect atmosphere for our relaxing evening together. We were very pleased with all that we ordered as well as the service. We would highly recommend the Barn restaurant to others.“

“This restaurant is really outstanding and really great for the image of Evanston's southern end. The food is fantastic and I very much enjoy everything from the Bacon Temptation Omelette to the Spicy Poblano Omelette to the Crispy Chicken Sandwich to the Cowboy Burger. All of the food is fabulous and very well prepared, the variety is wonderful, and the coffee is always fresh. And above all, Ivan and the waitstaff provide customer service that's 'above and beyond' in every way. They're very kind, compassionate, efficient, and accomodating to everybody who comes into the establishment. Keep up the great work!“

“Chicken was fresh and cooked perfectly- crispy, moist, and glistening inside. Gator bites were great - good ratio of batter to fish. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good too! Not sure if the recent criticisms of this restaurant were warranted - because to me, the food was spot on!“

“Vince, our server, was very attentive and kept a close watch on us. The food is always good - I get the veggie wrap (minus spinach) with chicken and the veggies are cooked to perfection. The Hamburger is what a real hamburger should look and taste like. Glad we made the reservation, tho the place was less crowded than I expected when we got there but filled up quickly. We've never had a bad meal or experience when we eat at the Firehouse Grill.“

(staying hydrated free) I had to take care of some personal business, and while I was here, I decided to have dinner because I was not cooking tonight. I’m having Chillis SmokeHouse Combos Jalapeno cheddar smoked sausage, brisket quesadillas, chicken crispers, corn on the cob, french fries, garlic bread, and dessert; Cheesecake served with strawberry puree...Excellent Eats!
