“I had an engagement party for my Son and his fiancée. It was in the lawn next to our building on the lake in Chicago. A casually elegant setting. We had a lot of different food prepared professionally and I made salads, and we grilled steaks, burgers and chicken. Khmai was enlisted to do all the appetizers, some additional salads and various spreads and dips. I have Mai my approximate budget, let her know what I was preparing and planned to cook and asked her to do her best to come up with what she thought would be best as complimentary. She outdid herself. The staff is lovely to work with, helpful and genuine. My guests were blown away by the delicious and complex tastes we are not used to since most had never had Cambodian food prior. Fermented catfish dip? Wonderful, all the rolls veg or not were terrific, shrimp toast was my personal favorite, salads crisp, spicy and everything felt special and unique. Flavors so rich and vibrant felt like a special treat. It was perfect served with standard picnic fare a little elevated. The atmosphere of the party was pitch perfect, while retaining a quiet all American type picnic feel, the quality of both the food I had prepared and grilled, plus the array of flavors the appetizers added made it seem really special and definitely a treat and celebratory. It felt like someone really cared and tried to make it memorable and my guests were over the moon for this food. I would absolutely recommend dining there, we have a few times and it’s a family feeling you just can’t force or create without it being real. “My husband and I stopped into NoodleBird while visiting Logan Square, and we’re so glad we did. Everything we ate and drank was absolutely delicious. The Pork & Ginger Dumplings, Charcoal Chicken, and Ginger Lemon & Turmeric Soda were all standouts and definitely worth ordering. I also loved the thoughtful detail of the owner’s grandparents’ photos on the bathroom doors. It was such a sweet, personal touch. “Tofu bun, fried rice and edamame hummus were great, in fact first time I had tried such a hummus and it's highly recomendable! I would have given the food a better rating if it wasn't for the spice level in the ramen. I ordered the tan-tan san, which indicated it has a kick of spice in it. When asking about the spice level, I was told that they would makse sure that it wasn't as spicy by not adding any kimchi or oil. As soon as I tried it, this was not the case as it was way too spicy to eat.“

“Ordered the big pad Thai and the Blackhawk sushi roll. They had the food ready within 15m. It was delicious! The pad Thai is some of the best I’ve had in a while. And the sushi was fresh and flavorful, nicely rolled. Really happy with the quality and service! Definitely want to keep trying more on the menu!“

“Been coming to Yatai frequently for about two years now, and every time it meets or exceeds my expectations. Service is quick and the workers are kind and check in on you frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Prices are fair especially for the portions (rice bowls, fried rice, noodle dishes, etc). My personal favorites from the menu are the crab rangoons and the crunchy sweet potato tempura rolls! BYOB and they’ll provide glasses if you need them! Absolutely love this place, cannot recommend it enough.“

I'm so happy they're in Lincolnwood so I don't have to go all the way to Chinatown or Evanston. I got their traditional potstickers (those are the handmade ones with the thicker outside dough), mooshoo pork (It's like a taco meets peking duck but healthier because it has cabbage and mushrooms and you can wrap it yourself. The beef chow fun was on point and the same is they make at Ming Hing. Fried rice was perfect. I'm sure everything else is really good too. It seems like there's new ownership and the new owners are really nice and organized. She also gave me a complimentary chili oil. Feel very lucky that this place is just a few minutes away and has fresh wok made food!! They also cater!“

“Che Thai is a fantastic local spot and everything we’ve tried has been delicious. The Pad See Ew is hands down the best I’ve had in Chicago — perfectly tender noodles, well-cooked chicken, and incredible flavor. Just so good.

The garlic noodles are also a standout. The lo mein noodles are thicker than expected, which actually makes the dish even more comforting and satisfying.

We’ll definitely be regulars here. Pro tip: order on Toast — they prefer it.“

I ordered the tofu pad thai and lime chicken. Highly recommend these two dishes.

The lime chicken is nice and crispy and comes with a good amount of rice (in a fancy silver container). The pad thai is standard and always a solid pick. I just wish they put more peanuts in it!“
