“Best food on 95th.. you don’t find a lot of authentic Mexican places around here or 100’s down. Ordered 4 tacos de asada, 2 tacos pollo, 1/2 pound of carnitas, med horchata and onions dorados! Asada was great and carnitas were so delicious! Felt bad I didn’t get to tip not having cash but man everybody deserves a tip in this restaurant! Also, ordered side rice it was great lbs.“
“Woooow woooow y wooow! Súper recomendado! Los dueños y sus hijos etc super atentos! Todo es fresco, el agua de horchata de chocolate me encanto! Las tortillas hechas a mano en el momento, lo mejor de todo poder platicar con el dueño y su esposa y que nos compartieran su historia de como comenzaron, anécdotas y mucho más! Felicidades! Y que sigan creciendo!“
“The best birria I have ever eaten in my entire life. I've just been there for the first time and it's simply incredible. From the first place, I was involved in something difficult to explain, so many years passing and never having given them a chance or knowing the goodness of their food.“
“I had a dinner date with a friend and I looked for something that was centrally located between the two of us. 5 Rabinitos has been on my list of places to try for ages. We started with the chips and salsa, which were quite good. For our mains, my friend ordered the cheese enchiladas mole and I ordered the camarones gratinados. I heard nothing but good things about the enchiladas and loved my shrimp. The portion was ample, the shrimp really big and tender, and the favors at tasty. I usually gravitate towards dishes with some spice to them, but didn't feel like I missed out at all with my meal. Overall, I'm glad I finally got here and can't wait to come back with husband.“
“Food was OK but the service was outstanding. Nice atmosphere, a little tight in there they definitely try and cram as many people in as possible. We tried the arrachera and half chicken. Chicken was dry. Steak was OK, only some pieces were a little tough. If we're in the area again I would give it another try.“
“This place was very good and authentic. I bought a couple pounds of chicharrones which came in huge slabs. If you just want to snack, it could use some seasoning, but for cooking it's perfect. The menudo was flavorful and thick and came with seasoning and sides. The staff were very busy when we arrived, but the owner was very nice and talkative. He explained everything in detail to my wife while I drooled over all the meat.“
“First time I took my wife to the solaso restaurant the food we ordered was the tacos the tripas cochinita pibil tacos in the onion with the lime all delicious and also we ordered the the drinks and a dessert that that churros what the topping a chocolate in ice cream I'm very recommend this restaurant definitely definitely a back again and waitress Lezly very good ???“
“Quesabirria is such an amazing gem in Chicago and the Pilsen neighborhood. Don't let Taco Bell fool you, this is the OG here. The owner is always here to take orders. Menu is very straightforward and delicious. There is indoor seating is minimal and when they sell out for the day, that's it so go early and get it when you can. The restroom is clean and they play some funky jams. We really love this place and hope they stay forever. Sitting here on a Sunday when they open at noon writing this makes it that much better!“
“I lived in Hawaii when I was attending University of Hawaii Manoa. This place is the REAL DEAL! Amazing kalua pig (moist smoky flavor), chicken katsu (super crispy), mac salad (melt in your mouth) ...I could go on and on! Best in the city and state, hands down.“
“Can't believe it took us 3 years to find this local gem! The food was amazing, to say the least. We tried the chicken milanesa & steak tortas, and the carne en su jugo - everything was spectacular!! Reminded us of a place that didn't survive the pandemic - so to find another authentic restaurant that puts so much love into what would normally just be a torta, we were ecstatic!! They even make homemade corn tortillas, the flavor which immediately took me to my childhood - soooo good! Worth every penny!Update: Went back today. The tlayuda con carne was amazing!! The presentation was beautiful & the taste was unreal. Too good!! Can't wait to bring my family back!“
“Food was very delicious. Lots of flavor , you can tell the cook loves what he does! Servers were very attentive. Thank you for the yummy food and great service ? when me and hubby are in town we definitely will be stopping by to try out other menu items. I look forward to it.“
“Incredible, well priced taco truck. Pure classic, wonderful tortillas, meat, onion, cilantro, and that’s it! Highly recommend getting chicken because the way they grill it is mwah, so good. Bomb burritos as well, all at significantly cheaper prices than surrounding places.“
“it be hard to find reasonable GOOD tacos !!! & this place has it ! Reasonable deal for 2 tacos & they were good ! I had the chicken and steak ! they were on point ! Angie the cashier sold us baby!! she said they were better than the place across the street and that we’d be coming back !!! lol, and I promise I would most definitely be back ! It was clean, the music is a vibe ! And we barely had to wait ! tacos wasn’t dry or old ! Good tacos always win“
“As a vegan myself, this place has the best vegan tacos I've ever had! Service was very quick too without sacrificing quality, in addition feels "light" in a good way without all the heavy grease and salt. It's hard finding vegan restaurants with large vegan menu options, including desserts like cake and brownie dessserts that taste so good like "regular" cake/brownies, so this place has it all! Also love how close this restaurant is walking distance to my home, so I'll definitely be a repeat customer!“
“DELICIOSO!!!!!?Ordered the pork tamale dinner with red mole sauce and the chicken tamale with green mole sauce. The pork was a lot more tender than the chicken and it also had more flavor. Both tamales were great but we preferred the pork. The red Mole sauce has a very deep rich smokey like flavor and just a subtle sweetness to it not sweet at all really, very subtle. The green mole sauce is definitely a little bit more bright and citrusy in flavor probably from the tomatillos and it was delicious and our favorite of the two. Will definitely be coming back for the pork tamales with the green mole sauce. For just the tamale with sauce is 8 bucks but if you get the dinner for $12 you get rice and beans. Great portion! Have no pictures to share because we devoured it right away. ?We also tried their kale aqua fresca, and it tasted more like a fresh green apple refresher! Still refreshing.Customer service was friendly, place was clean and inviting.Hard to find parking along Halsted but we were able to snag a spot right in front on a Sunday afternoon. Will be returning and highly recommend!“
“Fantastic! I tried the empanadas, quesadillas, tacos al pastor and quesabirria. Each dish was great and the plating was elegant. The ingredients are fresh and the atmosphere was very nice. I actually think it can compete with anything in the city.“
“I stopped by to try out the pozole. I was prepared to be disappointed as I have been with most restaurant pozole. The bar is pretty high as I have a friend that makes it best homemade. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The broth was not rushed which resulted in such rich flavors. Every spoonful was filled with meat and hominy as well thanks to the generous servings in the soup. The taste reflects the patience and love that it was made with. The price point was pretty amazing as well. I will undoubtedly come back for more.“
“I've eaten here so many times since 2010 when my brother moved to the area and it never disappoints! It was a lucky find as he was getting to know his new neighborhood and thank God he shared it with us. We've eaten in, gotten take out, but no matter which one we choose they always give great service. I've tried brain tacos from them (that surprisingly taste kind of like eggs), but our favorite is to order multiple pounds of the carnitas. It's SO good!! They give you fresh made tortillas, cilantro, onion, lime, and pico. Sometimes in the summer they have people right out front with different flavored Agua Frescas. If you're going to do carnitas be warned they do sell out, so try to get there early if you can. (Sorry my pictures aren't great this time)“
“Let me just start by saying that this locksmith was amazing. He showed up in about 20 minutes after I called for help and fixed the lock on my car door. They were so fast, thorough, and knowledgeable. I would recommend this locksmith to anyone who needs help with their car key coping!“
“This place is a gem!We have visited La Luna several times and every time we come it’s such a good time, I forget to take pics. Will edit with a bunch of pics next time we come.Food is always great! They use fresh, high quality ingredients and it shows.Service is top notch with servers preppy and polite, warm and welcoming.Drinks are excellent. Ambiance is electric!Highly recommend!“
“Lucidos has THE BEST Al pastor in the entire city of Chicago . I've been to a few dozen taco places in Chicago and this is the best of the best Al pastor. On el trompo is a good sign that they'll be delicious. On top of the spit it a whole pineapple which tastes so much better a little bit charred and not too sweet - unlike using canned pineapples as some restaurants do. The service is very friendly and it's a casual ambiance. I will absolutely be back. Love this place.“
“I go here for the chicken bowl. I like calling it a healthier and more authentic version of the burrito bowl from Chipotle. They also have some great deals that can feed a family. It comes with the whole grilled chicken, rice, beans, tortillas, and other toppings. When I went it was Cash Only!!“
“The food is amazing and the owner is nothing short great. He’s extremely generous and cooks like no other. Highly recommend the tacos de Al pastor, as it is their specialty and they are delicious. And as far as An amazing dark horse, their Mexican burger is absolutely delicious.“
“Such an authentic gem in Oak Park. Vincente Fernandez is playing on the tv. I ordered the cafe de la olla, which I haven't had in forever and was such a delicious comfort to drink on a cold morning. My friends ordered the green chilaquiles and tried the Diablo sauce, which lived up to its name. All were delicious but next time I want to try just a regular order of Rojas chilaquiles. The line was out the door mid morning on a Sunday but the wait was worth it. It's pretty clean here but packed on the regular. Definitely recommend.“
“Based on previous reviews we decided to make the drive from Logan Square to Querrepario in Archer Heights. The drive was totally worth it!The food is perfectly seasoned and portioned well. It's truly authentic food from Guerrero. The homemade tortillas are so good and were made to order. Everthing we ate was good. The food is delicious, excellent service, and to top it off the place is very clean. We'll definitely be going back.Highly recommended!!Kid-friendliness: Totally laid back atmosphere and very child friendly, my 4 year old loved the food.“
“Was amazing and will use again for sure! Every element from the initial inquiry, follow up correspondence, ordering, and communication before and during the event was completely awesome!Food itself was fantastic, truck shows up exactly on time as planned and was ready to serve for the entire duration of our gathering. Again, expectations were met and exceeded.Cannot say enough great things about the overall experience. Use Alos Tacos!“
“Excellent customer service. Great staff. Amazing food! Oh my goodness I had no idea how delicious it was gonna be. I ordered a veggie burrito and my husband ordered a steak burrito. Both items were very flavorful, fresh, and made with care. As someone who grew up eating homemade traditional Mexican food, this place for sure gets 5 stars and a thumbs up.“
“At Jimmy's they appreciate their customers you are greeted with an appropriate good day ma'am or sir how may I help you they have music playing so the atmosphere is very nice and they have very good food give them a try I give them five stars and two thumbs “
“Can't say enough about this wonderful place. The food is some of the best even against the great Mexican food in Chicago. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the love that exists. Drinks are some of the best I've had and the creativity is second to none. My wife and I really enjoy coming here trust me, when you're here you're family. Gracias“
“This place is fantastic for dining out! I highly recommend it. I recently took my family here, and the food was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the environment was top-notch. The restaurant's interior was beautifully decorated—it felt like I was transported to Mexico! There are two locations in Chicago, so be sure to visit the one on 55th street if you want to dine in; the 18th street location is for takeout only. This was my first visit, and I'm already looking forward to returning! Just a heads up, both locations offer street parking, so plan accordingly, especially on weekends.“
“I ordered two tacos de asada and a Gordita of stuffed peppers and cheese. The food was seasoned so well!! The meat was tender and the Gordita was full of flavor. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Having this place so close to work is dangerous for me LOL definitely going back there!!“
“This was my Second time visiting this restaurant, and I brought my guy in to try their food. Ms. Darcy waited on us, and she was warm, and inviting as we walked in. We didn’t even have to get up when our food was ready, Ms. Darcy brought it to us!! He had a catfish dinner, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! I had the chicken wing dinner and it was a hit as well!! We tried the jerk egg rolls as well once we got home and they were good…not spicy enough for my taste though. The atmosphere here was a bit “smoky” I’m sure from the grills but the smoke consumed the dining room atmosphere. Overall, we were pleased with the food and may come back to pick up take out!“
“Friday morning. 11AM. Everyone knows good carnitas are found on Friday to Sunday. We'll this place did it right.$11.99 a pound of flavorful, tender, and hearty carnitas. I was helped by a nice elderly pair at a quick service counter, and it was quick. This is a little hidden gem for sure!I'll be going back on a random weekday to see if it's as good on a weekend.“
“Definitely try the steak pastor and barbacoa. cooks put in the work and the food comes out delicious. Servers are very helpful and will answer any questions about the menu in a friendly way. My favorite plate the lucky fajitas with the shrimp steak and chicken comes out sizzling and very flavorful! Number 1 spot in my list!“
“Super delicious; super nostalgic; loved it. Haven't had a good churro since I went vegan 8 years ago. The day I went on a Sunday around 12pm they only had strawberry and plain at the time. They do open at 6am so they may have had more options earlier, but I'm not sure. But this was perfect for me because strawberry has always been my fave. I loved how fresh and sweet the filling was, and how soft the churro was to bite into.“
“Casual atmosphere in remodeled dining room gives eat-in or take-out options. Specialty cocktails, large television screens and appetizer selection are a nice touch for sports viewing. The servers are friendly and food comes out quickly. Menu includes a variety of popular Mexican foodKid-friendliness: Very family friendly with selections for all ages“
“The food and Atmosphere is great!!! However the service is terrible your guaranteed to wait 20mins just to get service and this is early in the day when it’s not busy and this has happen on more than one occasion I’m writing this review in hopes the service change I love supporting black owned businesses but we need to do better!“
“Much smaller than I imagined and the atmosphere wasn't my favorite upon walking in, however, the food and drinks blew us out of the water! I ordered a Michelada and it was FIRE.Food was incredible. Honestly anything on the menu you cannot go wrong.“
“My wife and I enjoyed this place and we will be coming back although it's a bit of distance away. But we'll worth the travel and wait!!! Just bring a knife to cut up your food if you're not use to tearing meat apart with your hands/torillas.“
“Our friend used to bring us tamales from the tamale lady and today I finally went over myself. She is literally on the corner of the street under some tents/umbrellas (it was raining today). I went around 8:20am on a Friday. There was somewhat ample street parking around. She accepts cash, there is a chase bank right next to her. The regular(red and green) tamales are $2 each. They also have sweet ones!! Pineapple and strawberry. There are some special ones she has only on weekends, those are $5 each. They were super nice! They speak English and Spanish. I'll be back.“
“Never a bad visit ~ hubby and I eat there at least 2-3x a month lunch or dinner. Staff is friendly and attentive to the customers. Food is delicious ? portion size is good. Very nice neighborhood diner for us. Prices are reasonable. Easy access parking.Thank you !“
“I can’t believe this was my first time at this diner, and I live around the corner. I have been living In Pilsen for three years. The staff is attentive and so friendly and welcoming. It is cozy inside and makes you feel at home. The chicken chilaquiles were excellent and fresh. I ordered pancakes to go, and they were delicious. I love the affordable meal, and I can not wait to return and try more of the menu.“
“The absolute best taco spot in Chicago, no doubt about it. Family oriented atmosphere. Tacos are HUGE. I only need two and I am full. I take all my friends and family who visit Chicago to Taco Bueno. I can't recommend it more. It closes at 3 pm each day, so take that into consideration when making plans. Cash only.“
“These tacos are ON POINT! I can’t believe he doesn’t have a whole building dedicated to this (although the stand does feel a bit more homemade/genuine). The sauce selections slap, the tacos come out flavorful and the price is just Love!“
“Perfect family atmosphere to try delicious Mexican food, it may take a while but the ingredients and food are fresh, handmade tortillas, the coffee is delicious and the waitresses always have the best attitude and service. The atmosphere is pleasant, sometimes there is live music, without a doubt it is my favorite place for Mexican food, the quesadillas are exceptional, chilaquiles 100% recommendedParking: Parking on the street for which you have to pay, you cannot park in the space in front because there is a private tow truck that takes the cars, you have to look for a space on the streets.Kid-friendliness: They have a children's menu and drinksWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility“
“The food is exactly the way I remember it when I was a young girl! First time I’ve been back since, and the steak taco dinners were amazing! The sauces were great! I dislike very greasy foods that are skimpy on the meat and don’t use fresh vegetables. I love the fact that they added good quality steak, tacos weren’t greasy, and fresh vegetables! Everything in the restaurant was so clean, and the lady behind the counter was so sweet! Will definitely be coming back when I’m in the area. Highly recommend! A south side gem!“
“This place is great. My only dislike is that sometimes they won't let you order over the phone. Sometimes they do if you pay up front. Lastly, you can't pick up the order if you're not the card owner that placed the call over the phone. They give you a hard time.Wheelchair accessibility: There is one parking spot for disabled and it is wheelchair accessible, but the doors are not automatic.“
“The tripa, chorizo, and carne asada tacos were on point. Wash it back with some of the horchata and your good go. There are tons of pickled veggies on the table for you to add more flavor to your tacos. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is very casual. My friend got the Milanesa and she was not into it but my tacos were so I'm giving it 4/5“
“La Cocina Jaliscience is a great place to visit for a casual bite to eat. It's very informal but that's not a detractor. I always love their tacos and cheese quesadillas, and the burritos are very good as well. My wife tried the flautas this time and said they were good as well. My only comment is that I don't prefer their method for serving salsa with the delicious chips because it comes in what I can best describe as breakfast restaurant tabletop syrup pourers and I've always found it to be messy and also strange and invariably amongst whoever accompanies me to dine-in here the conversation always involves a laugh/bewilderment about the condiments being served in syrup jars.“
