“The food was excellent and creative. The blue corn quesadilla with mole was excellent, as were the empanadas with chorizo and the Al pastor tacos. The beer has a wide variety that is home brewed. Not all the beer is hoppy (for those us that don’t like sour beer). The only thing that didn’t go over well was the peach and tamarind miche - a drink with beer which was too spicy and did not have a balance of sweetness. The location is a large airy cement structure with an industrial vibe.”

“came upon this place when we arrived at the Ronald Mc Donald house in Hines. we were met by Joana who made us feel so welcome and we felt right at home. we had to go back before we went home to meet her again. “It's an old fashioned neighborhood sports bar. I was pleased that after asking several times, they are adding some vegan food. During this last visit, they had a delicious lentil and fennel soup!”

“This is my fav Chinese food spot around town. Their tofu is cooked well and everything always tastes great. Service is pretty quick too. I think most people order takeout but dining in is pretty chill too. Also, their prices are pretty reasonable. A lot of food that I usually end up taking home.”

Call in orders should be simple but the cashier was very spacey and didn't want to charge me for what all I ordered thank God for the older cooks that kept telling her what I ordered!! And for a pick up it took awhile to just pick it up. Won't be going for a while”

“Chicago style beef hot dogs 🌭 are good, but is missing the celery salt. I didn't taste any celery salt. The Chicago style hot dog has 7 ingredients on it, not six.”

“Petra Falafel is my favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in the area. Their chicken shawarma platter is a masterpiece, and the garlic, jalapeno, and habanero sauces are very tasty, be sure to order extras! Their portions are generous, often leaving me with leftovers for at least another full meal. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. We always order for pick up, but they do have a dining area and I believe they are also BYOB. Next time you are craving falafel, baba ghanoush or shawarma give Petra Falafel a try - you will not be disappointed!”

Always pleasant, always knowledgeable, always accommodating. She remembers you and the things you like. She's not pushy or showy. And I see her helping the other staff all the time. She's compassionate, she's gentle. I swear she might be a saint. If she's not being recognized internally, someone in the company is messing up.”

“Man, talk about authentic. The wife and I were out this way for work and decided to pop by for lunch. She got the steak tacos while I got Lengua and Carnitas. All three came out fresh and fast. They were juicy, flavorful, and came with the classic cilantro and onion. Their house salsas were very flavorful and the orange and salsa verde had mild kicks to them. Definitely a must.”
