“I had a wonderful breakfast here early this morning around 6:20am, and I just wanted to say how great the experience was. Nancy was very nice, and everyone I interacted with was friendly. It honestly felt like one of those places where everybody knows everybody — a very homey, welcoming atmosphere.
The restaurant was extremely clean, including the bathrooms, which were well-lit and well-maintained. I’ve seen some negative reviews about the “rules,” but I didn’t have any issues at all. To me, they’re just letting you know clearly how they run things. If someone has a problem with authority, I guess they might take it the wrong way — but I personally had zero problems and thought everything was straightforward and respectful.
Overall, my visit was perfect. Great food, great people, and a really comfortable environment. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful morning!
I also want to mention that I ordered my eggs over hard, and they came out perfect — not runny at all like some places tend to do. Everything was cooked exactly the way I asked.“

“This place is amazing no matter your age!! My peeps from England loved it!!!! So much had to goo back a 2nd time before going bk home. Food was Lovely a long with the beverages and of course the train!!! Great service and great food 💯“

“Intergalatic themed cafe serving sandwiches and soups. Great variety of soups (frozen and ready to serve). Try the resurrection chicken soup which is loaded with flavor and spicy (because of the jalapenos). The rueben sandwich was good.
I plan to return try out other sandwiches and soups. Prices were fair relative to portion size.
Service was good, but prepared to wait as nothing was pre-made.“

“Petra Falafel is my favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in the area. Their chicken shawarma platter is a masterpiece, and the garlic, jalapeno, and habanero sauces are very tasty, be sure to order extras! Their portions are generous, often leaving me with leftovers for at least another full meal. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. We always order for pick up, but they do have a dining area and I believe they are also BYOB. Next time you are craving falafel, baba ghanoush or shawarma give Petra Falafel a try - you will not be disappointed!“

“My daughter had the cheese sticks and fries. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The fries are definitely so good.. my chicken sandwich seemed like it was made sloppy with that lettuce. Just throw it all over there and two pieces of chicken breast. No cheese.
And that was it. The location is decent and the restaurant was clean. 🫶🏿“

“Shanahan's is one of my favorite places in Forest Park, I moved from Forest Park a few years ago but I still go to Shanahan's every chance I get. Their food is always excellent and they have the best staff on the street, they always remember my name and my order. I will give them more than 5 stars if I could!!“

“My adorable little niece turned 3 over the weekend and she could not get over her Barbie cake made by you guys!! Aside from the cake completely nailing the Barbie theme, it also tasted amazing!! Prior to this, my husband and I who live in Oak Park, have only frequented The Brown Cow for ice cream and shakes but now we will absolutely be coming here for cakes for special events!!!“

“Absolutely love Tacobron! Authentic Mexican cuisine with the friendliest staff. It's BYOB these days, but would 1000% recommend the quesabirria dinner 🤌🏻 and the caramel churros 🫶🏻 the churros don't come with sauce anymore, sadly, so definitely get a filled one 😊“

“Been there twice still impressed with their excellent fast food and customer service. Very clean, beautiful, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I’ve only been there in the mornings during the week so prob least amount of crowd.“
