“We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding reception at Francesca’s Amici Elmhurst. The event coordinator, Nancy, was hands down the best. She is well experienced and has a true talent. Our group of nearly 80 people were very comfortable in the private room. There was plenty of room for our guests to enjoy a standing cocktail hour followed with a sit down dinner. The food was even better the evening of, kudos to the kitchen. And they did any excellent job making sure they were well staffed for the event. The staff was EXCELLENT, attentive and helpful. “No need to drive all the way to Argyle to get an authentic, delicious, hot bowl of Vietnamese pho. Located quite literally right next door to Seafood City, Delicious Pho did not disappoint! I’m a beef stew over egg noodle kind of girl and this hit hard. A lot of places on the north side don’t even offer this, just your usual rice noodle phos, but when I saw this on the menu I had a good feeling.

Plenty of parking, huge and modern dining area, quick and friendly service and open early, at 9am….. other soup places around here you have to wait until 11am or later. My soup came out in minutes, huge bowl, MASSIVE amount of TENDER meat, I kept finding more as I ate, veggies on the side (my usual spot in argyle never even gave me the side veggies but did to everyone else every time I went), the list goes on.

Do not sleep on this place. Make the trip you’ll be thankful you did“

Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. “What a great meal and service at Pasta D'Arte Trattoria Italiana!

To start, the drinks were solid—a nicely balanced Manhattan on the rocks and generous pours on the wines by the glass. Our group of four shared the Caprese Salad and Caesar Salad, both excellent and plenty to go around.

For entrées, we enjoyed the Linguini Del Mare, Pumpkin Ravioli, Osso Buco, and Walleye Alla Piccata. Everyone loved their dishes! Note that the tomato-based sauces have a nice spicy kick from red pepper—we really enjoyed it, but if you prefer milder, I assume they can likely accommodate.

The attentive and knowledgeable service made the experience even better, guiding us through choices nicely. Free valet on a busy Saturday night was a plus as well, and the overall vibe was welcoming.

My only complaint: the place gets very noisy on a packed Saturday night, making conversation tough without raising your voice. It's that lively, bustling trattoria energy, though!

“There's a reason the line here is sometimes half a block long. The scones and banana bread are out of this world but the Olive oil cake is among the tastiest things I've had. Regardless of the time of day or how crowded they are the staff is friendly and incredibly efficient. I've never had to wait on my order for more than a couple of minutes. They check on their customers for whatever they need until your meal is done. The busboys are hardworking and any requests will be granted right away. The food/dishes are cooked just the way you requests. Their steaks and eggs are up to par. The prices are decently priced. For what they serve you, good amounts of food. Well worth it. Freshness and presentations of foods are stupendous! Never did I have any complaints the way the place is ran. Very clean. Wide open. Eventhough i live far. I kept going back and i know when i leave, my tummy is full, content and some take home left overs. Check their menu. Check the big breakfast meal. You can't go wrong with their reasonable prices. “I’ve been to Greece four different times, and I can tell you right now — Greek Islands gets as close to authentic Greek food as you can possibly get without boarding a flight to Athens.

The food was simply amazing. The chicken kebabs were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and grilled exactly the way they do it overseas. And the Mediterranean chicken with rice Wow. Full of flavor, tender, and seasoned in a way that instantly brings you back to a seaside taverna. Every bite tasted fresh no shortcuts here.

The calamari was so fresh, I could’ve sworn Poseidon brought the octopus in himself. Lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and incredibly tender — not rubbery at all. That’s how you know it’s the real deal.
