“Tried the express menu last weekend for the first time and was NOT disappointed. Vegan birria tacos (made with perfectly seasoned mushrooms) were excellent, though I have to admit the consomé wasn't, unfortunately. But the vegan soul plate was all good. The fried hearts of palm were tasty and crunchy, the mac and cheese was creamy and not too heavy, the sweet potatoes were Thanksgiving-y, and the greens did their job. And the hibiscus and ginger tea I ordered was delicious! I just wish it was less than a 40-minute drive for me, but what can you do?“

“My Fiancé and I discovered this restaurant after watching “Somebody Feed Fill” and were inspired and intrigued by Sarah’s restaurant and craftsmanship. We had our eye on getting reservations here for a very long time and we ended up landing lunch reservations for my Fiancés birthday (whom is also a Chef). We just happened to be seated by the expo line near the kitchen where we saw Sarah working. From start to finish our server Rose, and Sarah made sure our experience was personalized special. Sarah even signed the cookbook we bought and menu! Everything was on point from the food to the service. I can see why it’s so hard to get a reservation here! If we could rate our experience higher we would. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and dedication that this restaurant displays!“

“My wife and I visited Gino’s for the first time. I was late but when I arrive the pizza was ready with a beer and our server Castle was so accommodating. His beer recommendation was awesome and he was very attentive. The food and atmosphere were top notch. Next time I visit Chicago I will definitely be back.“

“We had a really lovely dinner at S.K.Y. and enjoyed pretty much everything we ordered.

We started with the **S.K.Y. Sizzling Sisig** with kombu sticky rice, Lola’s vinegar, and toasted nori. I liked this dish a lot, especially the toasted nori sheets that you can use to wrap the rice and meat together. It makes the dish more interactive and adds great texture and flavor.

We also tried the **Maine Lobster Dumplings** with jade butter and soft herbs. Very delicate, flavorful, and nicely executed.

For our mains, we got the **S.K.Y. Fried Chicken** with habanero butter, creamed corn, and daikon muchim. The chicken actually came with the claws still attached, which was a little unexpected, but the chicken itself was excellent — incredibly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was a bit fatty in places, but I still really enjoyed it. The creamed corn was fantastic and ended up being our favorite part of the dish.

We also ordered the **Braised Beef Short Rib** with red curry sauce and heirloom potatoes. The beef was tender and flavorful, and overall it was a very good dish, although I have to be honest: the portion was absolutely tiny.

Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying their famous **bread pudding**. Keep in mind that it takes around 30–40 minutes to prepare, so definitely order it well in advance. I liked it, although it wasn’t mind-blowing for me personally. The combination of intense sweetness, richness, and the salt crystals on top was a little too much for my taste, but objectively, it was still a very well-made dessert.

Service was wonderful, and I especially loved the ambiance. It’s relaxed, quiet, and intimate, giving you plenty of time and space to actually enjoy your dinner without feeling rushed.

“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!“

Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. With four teenage boys in tow, the menu provided ample carbs and comfort for them while we enjoyed a broad sample of the offerings - all were very happy with their meals! Cocktails and wine selection was also on the mark. Kudos to Jeremy and his staff. We came all dressed in white and he told us he knew he wanted to do something special for our party… they knocked it out of the park! “How could a bar cure my aversion to celery?!? I’m not sure, but it happened. I met a friend here, and after a fun couple of hours sampling the epic novel of a beer list, we went for the moule frites. I was mainly interested in the frites, especially when I saw the celery on the mussels. But I did try them, and their broth. The broth!! It was otherworldly. After a few bites, I realized the magic ingredient had to be the celery. And the rosemary, thyme, onion, and probably a beer brewed by the Belgian monks. Go here, people.“
