“As always Chef Paco and his amazing team never disappoints. EVERYTHING on the menu is phenomenal so you can’t go wrong. My favorite dishes are the Fiesta Mole and Tacos Chetumal. His Tortilla Soup is also the best in the world. Highly recommend this place for the food, ambience and of course Chef Paco! Oh My God!!“

“We went here for breakfast. The food was really good and cooked perfectly. They had so many options for breakfast and lunch. They have a variety turkey options for breakfast, bacon, sausage patties and links. The pancakes are really good with hot syrup. I had a veggie with avocado skillet with hash browns, it was hearty and delicious. My husband had scrambled eggs, hash browns, turkey sausage patties, and hash browns. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Small diner with great food, definitely worth the travel. It is a busy spot so there may be a wait for larger groups.

“Love this place - cozy neighborhood sports bar atmosphere with truly excellent food, a great rotating beer menu, and very reasonable prices. There are often games or music on, but never so loud that you can't have a conversation. All of the food we've tried has been delicious! Never once had a bad dish or experience! We stopped in on a whim for lunch and quickly became regulars after tasting the burgers, rustic potato salad, and brussel sprouts. There are different daily food specials and a surprising list of high-end options (e.g. Wagyu beef burgers, lamb dip, Mediterranean mushroom sandwich) for such a casual setting. The staff is great, the chef is on point, the beers are frosty, and the meatloaf dinner on Thursday is worth a special visit. If you're looking for a relaxed place to have a great meal, a cold drink, and a conversation, I can't recommend the Old School Tavern enough.

“Shanahan's is one of my favorite places in Forest Park, I moved from Forest Park a few years ago but I still go to Shanahan's every chance I get. “Petra Falafel is my favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in the area. Their chicken shawarma platter is a masterpiece, and the garlic, jalapeno, and habanero sauces are very tasty, be sure to order extras! Their portions are generous, often leaving me with leftovers for at least another full meal. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. We always order for pick up, but they do have a dining area and I believe they are also BYOB. Next time you are craving falafel, baba ghanoush or shawarma give Petra Falafel a try - you will not be disappointed!“

“This is a favorite of my fiancé and I’s. The flavors are pronounced, it’s authentic, the cilantro sauce is to die for (I could drink it), and the meat is always juicy. Not to mention they have Mexican sodas, drinks, and popsicles too. It’s one of those small places that takes care of your every need with a smile. We’ll be coming back again and again!“

“Man, talk about authentic. The wife and I were out this way for work and decided to pop by for lunch. She got the steak tacos while I got Lengua and Carnitas. All three came out fresh and fast. They were juicy, flavorful, and came with the classic cilantro and onion. Their house salsas were very flavorful and the orange and salsa verde had mild kicks to them. Definitely a must.“
