“We went to Woodfire for my birthday. The food and service is excellent. Vicki was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. The food is so fresh and homemade. The pizza crust is crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. There is an assortment of types of pizza, but the cheese pizza is the best I’ve ever had. The pasta is rich and delicious. It’s cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce is amazing. The appetizers, home brewed beer, and desserts are phenomenal too. Step aside Coopers Hawk, I have a new favorite restaurant!“

“It's been over two weeks since my family and I visited The Polish American Bistro. It would be remiss of me not to leave a wonderful review of this lovely restaurant! Ania and Darek, the owners, are the nicest and most hospitable people ever! Since I have family in Poland, it was fun to talk to them about their homeland. Now about their food . . . it's completely amazing! I ordered galumpki (ground beef and rice wrapped in cabbage). The tomato sauce on top was so delicious, it spun circles around the sauce my grandma used to make (sorry, Grandma!)! My husband ate a breaded pork cutlet with mashed potatoes. SO tasty! And my daughter opted for a cheeseburger that looked and tasted so great that we even returned the next day to order another cheeseburger to go! Our entrees were accompanied by a side of two types of salad - one made of marinated red cabbage, and the other was their super delectable authentic Polish sour cream, cucumbers and dill. As you can tell, our dinner itself was a 5-star experience. Last but not least, I must discuss their DESSERTS! When you walk into Ania and Darek's restaurant, your eyes will immediately be drawn to their multi-tier display of desserts. Unfortunately, since our stomachs were full after our delicious dinner, we couldn't even think of dessert. However, take-home was still an option! So I asked Ania to escort me to the dessert case and tell me about her sweet treats. It turns out she owns a bakery in another suburb, and all the desserts are made on location at the bakery FROM SCRATCH! So we took a few home (see photo), ate them the next evening, and they did not disappoint! I loved them all, especially the vanilla custard inside the eclair and fruit tart! The chocolately hazelnut dessert was a Kinder Bueno torte. I want to go back and try more of these amazing treats! You should really go check out The Polish American Bistro, whether or not you are Polish! They have food for everyone. Dziękuję Ania and Darek!“

“I don't think l've tried Pizza better than this in Illinois. We stopped off at Georgio's while taking a stroll through Downtown Crystal Lake and our stomachs started rumbling. I'd never been, but it got high remarks from family members. 4 of us stopped in around noon. The place was nearly empty, but l've heard it gets really crowded at night. The atmosphere was cute and clean, and our server was friendly. We split a Large (14") Pizza with mushrooms and sausage. It was really good, and filled all of us up. Crust was delicious, but it could have used just a tad more sauce. The atmosphere, service, food, and pricing were all very satisfactory, and there wasn't any issues, so l'm giving Georgio's a 5.“

“One of my favorite places in Cary. Great owner, super nice and a great business man. I have tried a few different dishes from here and am obsessed with their caprese salad, chopped salad, buffalo chicken wrap, and their cauliflower crust pizza. They have delivery and also pickup. Their fruit when in season is super fresh and I honestly cant even find that fresh at a grocery store. Sometimes I drive 20 minutes to pick up their super fresh caprese salad and fruit side. Definitely recommend giving this place a shot if you haven't already!!! By far one of my favorite go to in Cary!“

“We tried Banushi’s today and really liked it. Grew up on Chicago pizza and this is Chicago in Algonquin. Crispy crust, good sauce. My husband likes lots of cheese, I prefer light cheese - this was the perfect compromise. Pickles appetizer and chicken soup were also good. Can’t wait to try the Chicken Parm. “We hosted an end of the season tackle football banquet for 50 people in the party room at JJ Twig’s in Wauconda tonight. Tiffany was a dream to work with — super responsive, accommodating, and had great insight into just how much food to order. The party room was the perfect private venue that allowed our rambunctious group of 10 year old boys some space to roam without disturbing other diners. Food was good — we ordered pizzas, baked mostaccioli, meatballs, chicken tenders and salad. Compared to other local venues we considered, JJ Twig’s is a real value. Along with the good food and great service, JJ Twig’s is the full package!“

“Pizza snob here. I have been a pizza fiend since TMNT in the 80s. It’s not easy to move into my top 5 favorite pizza places and Nancy has moved to my number one favorite pizza!
We get their deep dish with cheese. Yum!! Everything is on point! The sauce has the perfect amount of sweetness and is not too bold. It’s just right. The blend of cheeses they use is perfect.
Now I feel many deep dishes struggle to have a good crust. Sometimes places make it too thick or too crunchy or too dry, and eating the cornicione becomes a chore. But this isn’t the case with Nancy’s.
The pizza is pricey, but check those coupons that come in the mail. Usually there is a coupon for a certain percentage off on Monday and Tuesday .“

“This is our go-to place for gluten-free pizza. As opposed to another popular nearby pizza place, the crust is actually fully baked. The GF crust is decent. Not as good as real crust, but better than others in the area. As with any GF pizza, I’d recommend eating it all the first night, as it’s never as good reheated.“

“We were at a food truck event and saw Kurbside Pizza and Panini! When we went to order a delicious sounding panini (Pear and Prosciutto), turns out it was supposed to be a pizza… They wanted to try to make it into a panini as they hadn’t done it before. We were SO GRATEFUL they did because it was one of the most delicious (and beautiful) panini sandwiches we have had! The food ratio of the ingredients was just right, the large panini bread was toasted perfectly and melted as you took a bite—including the crust that is typically very hard from other restaurants. I would have never thought to combine those ingredients together, but the combination was tasty! They used very fresh ingredients as well, including generous slices of the pear. We highly recommend Kurbside Pizza and Panini! PS—how cute is this truck as well with the pizza wings? Amazing experience! 💖“

“I’m not typically one to issue 5 star reviews. However, Buddy’z was on their A game on the night of 10/16/2025 and helped the wife and I celebrate our anniversary with two very tasty pizzas. We ordered a deep dish and a thin crust, both sausage, for delivery. Both pizzas were fantastic, had plenty of toppings, great taste, and they arrived quickly, despite having ordered a deep dish. It was actually a little nostalgic calling up a pizza place and placing an order. Not like these corporate pizza places that want everything done online via some Terminator on judgement day taking your order. Better yet? The woman who answered the phone knew what she was doing. I didn’t get the person on day 2 that was left alone on her own to hopefully survive.

I worked food service for almost 20 years in pizza so I know that everything just clicked last night. Now the only question that remains is consistency! Keep it up! We will see!

It all just gelled and it helped our anniversary be a great one.

“It was my first time ordering. I ordered when I walked in. It took about 15 minutes to cook. The pizza was made fresh. It was also cool to watch the owner making not only my pie but to others.
While the pizzas were in the oven, Cindy and I had an enjoyable conversation about food at other restaurants, which included chocolate cake and real strawberry milk shakes.
When I arrived home to enjoy my pie, I must say that it was one of the best that I have had in a while. It was worth the 30 minute drive.

“Great pizza, wish they had zeppole on the dessert menu, it’s the only Rosati’s location I can’t find them at which results me in ordering from the next restaurant. I attached what zeppole look from the other locations, they don’t even have the appetizer version with the marinara. Crazy because they’re big sellers at other locations and they run out.“
