“I go to this location quiet often, but I was extremely disappointed as well as angry with what I saw today at this location. (3/9/25 at 5:35pm) The 3 customers that were ahead of me placed their orders were first timers I found out. The young lady that was fixing their smoothies dropped a cup on the floor, picked the cup up from the floor then sat the cup to the side. As she finished one smoothie she pulled a fresh cup, then the 2nd smoothie she proceeded to pour it in the cup that she picked up off the floor. I told the young lady that took my order, so she then pulled the young to the side to tell her that I saw what she did then she looks at me and says "I'm Sorry" (I said to her): What do mean you are sorry, why would you do that, and why are you giving that to her, you need to remake that smoothie ...and guess what she did not. I'm just want to make people aware: Watch the people that prepare your sandwiches/smoothies or anything of that sort. It's not their stuff, they're not paying for it so they don't care. That was just the epitome of nasty and extremely unsanitary. She didn't have on a Tropical Cafe shirt, she had on a gray shirt, she may have been new, I'm not sure but we need to learn to do better when working with the public. Don't do things to people that you don't want done to you!!!!! FYI...the name on the ticket was: Shelia G“

“Came in with a friend who had never had boba before. The owner(?) recommended her a flavor and offered to make her a different kind if she didn't like it. She had brown sugar, I had taro, and my wife had a caramel latte boba. All were delicious! We also got the mini pancake bites which were fantastic. The owner(?) was super nice and gave us free water as well. If it wasn't a 40 minute drive for us we would be here all the time!“

“Came to this cafe multiple times. I received the best service today from Jose at the register. Super chill and kind. Made sure we left with everything we needed and felt taken care of. I wish I got the girls name bc she whipped our smoothies up perfectly. Not gonna lie it’s actually one of if not the best smoothie I’ve had from this location. My bf just said “damn this is so good” as I type this lol. Thanks so much guys!

“I have been to Pantera Superfoods on multiple occasions for smoothie bowls. Their bowls are delicious and the owner is so kind. I am so excited to have this place in Edgebrook. I used to drive to Bucktown for smoothie bowls. Great option on the NW side for a healthy lunch.“

Parking: The restaurant is located inside the mall next to the Seafood City grocery store. Huge parking lot- never an issue finding a space
Kid-friendliness: My kids (14 and 9) have been eating with us here for a couple of years- they’re always excited to go. The Vietnamese travel/cooking shows they have on the background tv are reaal interesring and fun to watch“

But if I buy an Acai bowl from Tropical Smoothie Cafe and leave the room for a few minutes, my kids will make it disappear.
Ezekiel makes a great bowl at TSC.
The staff is knowledgeable. The bathrooms and tables are clean. And the menu is. Lear and way to follow.
TSC is a staple for our family when we want to eat out.“

“I work nearby the Elmhurst Currito so I order from them quite often. I recently had an issue with one of my orders and Nick the GM was able to fix the issue right away which I really appreciated. Staff is always friendly and the restaurant is always clean. Most importantly, the food is always fresh and delicious. Great for a quick healthy meal and for people with food restrictions too as you can build your own bowl. Highly recommend!“

“Having recently moved near the area, I finally decided to check this place out. I absolutely love trying new boba shops, and I am thrilled that this one is so close by. Great atmosphere with cute decorations and plenty of seating. There was only one worker behind the counter at the time who greeted me as soon as I walked in. She was so sweet and made my drink very quickly.
As for the boba itself… it’s great! I got a brown sugar boba milk tea which I was glad to know was non-dairy (despite my love for all things dairy, I am lactose-intolerant. Booooo). The milk tea itself was great. For a brown sugar drink, it wasn’t too sweet at all, which I liked as I usually get my drinks with less sweetness. However, the tapioca was a little hard, a result of it either sitting out for too long or being chilled. I’m sure it would’ve been a thousand percent better with the tapioca’s real chewy texture, but I suppose I can’t complain since I walked in on a slow Wednesday afternoon.
Great shop overall, and I surely will be a regular!

“Recently ordered a smoothie bowl and forgot to mention my food allergy. Instead of attitude from staff I was met with perfect accommodations and friendly attitudes. She stepped away for a second to clarify with her coworker to see if any of my allergens were added into my bowl and remade it for me. 10/10 for accommodations and service.“

“Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“

“My wife, myself, and 2 young kids have been visiting Level Up Cafe & Lounge since they opened. The owners Shawn and Victoria do a great job. The staff is very friendly, they have delicious refreshing protein shakes, smoothies, food, and adult beverages. We absolutely love the atmosphere and free arcade with purchase. There are always young children there whom our kids are always playing with. It’s a great social, playful, and friendly place to be. We highly recommend Cafe Level Up & Lounge for a fun night out!!“

“First off this was my 1st visit to this location and it is so cute!!! The atmosphere is so chill and inviting. The owner is super nice! Tried the Crepes for the 1st time and they were delicious! Now I usually visit Tower Nutrition because it's by my house, but this is his wife's location and closer to my job so... I was ecstatic to learn I could get my healthy eats while at work as well.“

The process is simple:
1) Select any combo of the 10 yogurt flavors
2) Select from a collection of toppings
3) Get your cup weighed and pay
The lobby can seat about 20 including high top chairs on a busy day.
The atmosphere is clean and the crowd is nice.
There is limited street parking. Otherwise, you could park in the parking garage about 1 block behind the building.“

“My husband and I stopped here on a whim after leaving the airport and I must say the food was amazing! We were greeted with a smile and they were very patient, kind, and helpful as I ordered in Spanish. (The mango Agua Fresca is a must try!) We enjoyed the chips and salsa as well as their outstanding asada tacos. They were happy to ask how we liked everything and of course we let them know it was so good. So happy to have found an authentic taco spot with so many great options. We vowed to make dining at Gelatinas a regular trip :)

Absolutely amazing customer service, (I wish I asked for the employees name, my receipt says Liz) but she was the friendliest, warmest, most pleasant person! “My daughter has been craving to try this place, so we did today! The 87th Street location, not their Milwaukee one. 87th, don't have their Google review page up yet. That's why I'm putting it on this one. The place inside was clean and they were busy when we went in! We order "The B Combo," and it came with 2 corn dogs, an order of Goblins fries, and 2 lemonades for $17.99. We also ordered some garlic parmesan wings that came with fries ?. We sat in the restaurant, and my daughter did her review! I myself will definitely go back to try some other styles and flavors of the dogs! I'll give them a 10 out of 10! The lemonade was delicious. I grabbed a 2nd one before leaving.Very kid friendly! Our meal came out to about $30, but it's cheaper depending on what you get. I'll post pictures and videos! I told yall I would do better, and I did ☺️?
