“I’m usually an at-home coffee person, but without my coffee maker right now, I’ve been picking up Starbucks. It honestly bummed me out at first because I love the way I make it at home & I never really know what to order at a coffee shop to make it taste the same. The girl taking my order in the drive-thru at this location was so helpful, and then once I got to the window, Will was just such a warm & lovely person. You could tell he cared that my coffee was made well and really hoped I would like it — which, by the way, I really did!!

He obviously couldn’t have known, but I’m going through a lot personally in the last 48 hours with family stuff and my dog, and Will’s energy with me through the drive-thru really warmed my heart this morning. They accidentally made an extra blueberry muffin, and when he handed me my last drink he gave me a second one, I told him I had already gotten mine. He just smiled and told me to take it anyway. It was such a simple gesture, but it meant more than he knows.

I drove away with tears in my eyes, in the best way, feeling so warm from the kindness he showed. I really needed that today. Thank you, Will and the beautiful people who were working at this location this morning!“

“I had wanted to visit for awhile as it the name is inviting in a world of burger places.
It has stunning bakery items and sweets!
We went for lunch and hopefully a handmade, fresh sandwich. That was not what we found.
We looked at their menu board and didn't see sandwiches at all. When we asked they pointed to a wall display cooler and said they could microwave any sandwich to warm it up😕
Not what we had in mind.
Sandwiches were ok, but I would not be coming back for lunch. Sweets, definitely 😁“

“I stopped by the Glen Ellyn Metra train station for some coffee, and got a surprise. It was a real pleasure talking to Mary, who is not only selling great coffee and scones (more tasty and affordable than the chain stores), but working with other stakeholders in the space to keep the building clean while also maintaining a vegetable garden on the grounds surrounding the station. After talking with her, it's obvious to me that she is pursuing a labor of love, and she is a true inspiration. I can't think of a more pleasant way to board the train in the morning, or just hang out for a game of chess when things are quiet during the day. More towns should get creative like this and make these kinds of spaces more inspiring, rather than just a drab place to gather while in a rush to get somewhere else.“

“I live a few blocks from this Starbucks, and have been a daily patron since it opened over twenty years, ago. Continously, great staff, and great coffee (cold brew). I've never bought any of their food or baked goods (not into prepackaged stuff). During the school year, it seems between the hours of 11a -2p, the place is often overrun by high-school students who are loud and rude. Nevertheless, I do my best to avoid the ill-mannered teens, as the staff and coffee are great.“
