“I somehow hadn't noticed Kong Dog here until I was at City Hall for a permit. Now I know it's there, I'll be frequenting. Love a good Korean Corn Dog, and this place fits the bill. It's so hard to only eat one, but so hard to eat two!“

“All I know is that the food is so good that I have been here 3 times since it opened (Which has been less then 6 months). I know I should branch out and try the other offerings but I just really love the Tori Paitan and will be back more when the cooler weather is fully settled in.
I also sincerely appreciate that there are good non-alcoholic mixed drinks, because sometimes someone just wants a fun mixed drink but none of the alcohol and there's quite a few options here- expanded even from the menu pictured on Google. There's a really good Yuzu based drink that I also keep getting that is my favorite.
The atmosphere is higher end but not pretentious, and cozy while still being open.

I look forward to bringing more of my friends here.

Parking: Fair amount of parking but it's in a strip mall with other restaurants so you're not always able to find a spot immediately. There's usually more parking in the back“

“Ordered delivery recently and it was insanely good so we decided to go in person. Went for dinner on a Sunday night and it was quiet but the food was just as delicious. The crispiness of the chicken is amazing! I recommend the classic but I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. They have increased the size of the menu so there is always something new to try. Highly recommend 👌“

“Very happy that found this place has reopened. We used to come here for lunch and dinner, there is no other Asian restaurant in north shore we feel good to enter to eat. The menu with varieties and many Asian popularities dishes. Think this may be comparable from south Canal street China Town and the best one in the north shore neighborhood.

I love that when I go there they have everything fresh and everything is in stock and if there’s a waiting time, it’s not more than 10 minutes and the cookies are amazing for dessert. I love that the food is gluten-free even the cookie!
The price is just right for lunch or dinner!

“I really appreciate how clearly the vegan or vegetarian options are listed. They are able to make a few things vegan and a few things are already vegan. Their smoked tofu, although extra to add, is really good. Not bland and mushy like many omni places. They also have a happy hour 4-6 with a few vegan options! I got the chili peanut noodles with tofu and loved it. I also got the corn fritters to start, great just the dipping sauce isn’t vegan fyi.“

“Over 20 years ago I started eating at their original Lincoln Park location. Today, their delicious food keeps me coming back time after time. It helps that the restaurant is staffed by the nicest people in the world. When I call for pickup they know my order (lad nar with chicken and Japanese gyoza) and they have it ready in ten minutes. The food is also amazing bc it stays true to Korean food fused with fresh veges and both Korean and non Korean based like glass sweet potato noodles or salad or purple or white rice. The flavors are authentic to Korean food items also. Online you can ask for extra of one the free included sides which is nice. The sides are healthful and tastes great. The staff (diverse staff) and manager (who looked Korean to me which is nice to keep authenticity) are always cleaning...authentic to the Korean way of non stop standards of cleanliness. The bathroom is immaculate and non odorous. I got a glass noodle (which is made of sweet potato) base bowl with tofu (cooked perfectly with just right saltiness, broccoli, beans, steamed and fried potatoes, red cabbage, corn, kale, and KIMCHI of course! What Korean dish comes without kimchi and it's perfect inside bc I grew up adding kimchi to everything like ramen or pizza or soup. Also FREE miso soup w tofu and scallion. You can serve it yourself anytime. Drinks are creative and yummy. Thank you Mr Shin (owner of this chain) for creating such a great deal with yummy Korean foods that help me eat for balance and wellness. Thank you to the manager of this Des Plains location for doing an excellent job! If I could, I would eat here everyday. You won't be disappointed. Free and ample parking in the mall and it's right next to Panera.
