“We were looking for a place to eat before we started our long drive home, and immediately wanted to try this as soon as we saw it!

It's a little overwhelming, all of the different options, but oh so worth it!

We got the Potato Kong Dog, the Sweet Potato Kong Dog, the Milky Kong Dog, the Original Kong Dog (OGs are always a must) and the Churro Kong Dog, with fries and three different kinds of their lemonade, and oh my goodness it was all so good! We wish we had one of these places in South Bend, Indiana! We would come here all the time if we lived closer.“

“All I know is that the food is so good that I have been here 3 times since it opened (Which has been less then 6 months). I know I should branch out and try the other offerings but I just really love the Tori Paitan and will be back more when the cooler weather is fully settled in.
I also sincerely appreciate that there are good non-alcoholic mixed drinks, because sometimes someone just wants a fun mixed drink but none of the alcohol and there's quite a few options here- expanded even from the menu pictured on Google. There's a really good Yuzu based drink that I also keep getting that is my favorite.
The atmosphere is higher end but not pretentious, and cozy while still being open.

I look forward to bringing more of my friends here.

Parking: Fair amount of parking but it's in a strip mall with other restaurants so you're not always able to find a spot immediately. There's usually more parking in the back“

“Got the chicken wings which were very tasty especially their new yangnyeom sauce if you like a spicy sweet kick. The seasoned fries were deliciously crunchy and flavorful. The waitress was especially attentive and kind. Excited to return and try more menu items.“

The menu with varieties and many Asian popularities dishes. Think this may be comparable from south Canal street China Town and the best one in the north shore neighborhood.

The food was delicious, got a grilled Salmon rice bowl with chipotle aioli. The salmon so tender, it fell right apart! “We went in on a whim. My kids really wanted to have ice cream at Dairy Queen next door for lunch, lol, but we decided they should actually eat some food. We had never been there, but will definitely be back! It was So good! We had Teriyaki chicken, chicken chow mein, or maybe they were lo mein noodles, and 2 kinds of egg rolls. It was all not only delicious, but different than anywhere else. Those egg rolls were maybe the best we’ve ever had. Even my picky eater kids liked it all! I love that when I go there they have everything fresh and everything is in stock and if there’s a waiting time, it’s not more than 10 minutes and the cookies are amazing for dessert. I love that the food is gluten-free even the cookie!

“I really appreciate how clearly the vegan or vegetarian options are listed. They are able to make a few things vegan and a few things are already vegan. Their smoked tofu, although extra to add, is really good. Not bland and mushy like many omni places. They also have a happy hour 4-6 with a few vegan options! I got the chili peanut noodles with tofu and loved it. I also got the corn fritters to start, great just the dipping sauce isn’t vegan fyi.“

“Over 20 years ago I started eating at their original Lincoln Park location. Today, their delicious food keeps me coming back time after time. It helps that the restaurant is staffed by the nicest people in the world. When I call for pickup they know my order (lad nar with chicken and Japanese gyoza) and they have it ready in ten minutes. We enjoyed our order but it was just cold when arrived . I think they should use ‘insulated ‘ carrier for delivery. Also for delivery you SHOULD ASK for your sauces on the side . The fried chicken bao buns was amazing! The chicken katsu -crispy how I like but a little dry on inside. The Bulgogi fries was AMAZING! Tteokbokki was flavorful , but they forgot the 2 potstickers that comes with that order.
Over all we enjoyed . It think portion size a little small for pricing but I know sometimes places vary in portion eat in & takeout.

The staff (diverse staff) and manager (who looked Korean to me which is nice to keep authenticity) are always cleaning...authentic to the Korean way of non stop standards of cleanliness. The bathroom is immaculate and non odorous. I got a glass noodle (which is made of sweet potato) base bowl with tofu (cooked perfectly with just right saltiness, broccoli, beans, steamed and fried potatoes, red cabbage, corn, kale, and KIMCHI of course! What Korean dish comes without kimchi and it's perfect inside bc I grew up adding kimchi to everything like ramen or pizza or soup. Also FREE miso soup w tofu and scallion. You can serve it yourself anytime. Drinks are creative and yummy. Thank you Mr Shin (owner of this chain) for creating such a great deal with yummy Korean foods that help me eat for balance and wellness. Thank you to the manager of this Des Plains location for doing an excellent job! If I could, I would eat here everyday. You won't be disappointed.
