They’re gone…devoured quickly, which means I’ll have to make the 40 minute drive to try other desserts for myself! The banana pudding is the best we’ve ever had…yum! The shop is clean and neat, and the service was amazing! I enjoyed talking to Alley’s daughter to hear about the move and establishing of the shop in Spanish Lake. El Chico was so easy to work with, so kind, and so helpful. “Unequivocally one of the best Bosnian bakeries in St Louis. They bake their lepinja breads fresh on saturdays and the pitas will literally be hot to the touch and fresh out of the oven. There’s no menu but the bakers also make delectable burek that is sold out within minutes of opening at 9am, so you’ll either need to call in advance to order or get there right at opening time!“

“While I can say that it's vastly superior to the other truck stops that I have encountered in Missouri and offers far more services amenities and hospitality to professional drivers and regular automobile driver's alike, it is still a truck stop with inflated prices and all of the strange brands the normal motorists do not encounter in day-to-day life.The showers here were clean serviceable and enjoyable. There is a television room and a small area for people to eat. There is also a small casino area. There is a small criminal element at this particular establishment. But that is to be expected and compared to some of the other elements I've encountered while in Missouri it is welcome in it's sparity.All together I can say that this truck stop is where you would want to go were you transiting from Missouri to Illinois on a normal commute.An excellent establishment.“
