“We've often had their delicious baked goods. This time we had the Quiche! So glad we did. It was so creamy & flavorful. Plenty of room near the coffee bar or in the attached room where they roast the beans. We love coffee houses & this one is special. It has a relaxing atmosphere, great baked goods & now we know how delicious their quiche is! Oh, and it's has very good coffee. It is well worth the 35 minutes it takes to drive here. “Yesterday my father and I visited Dovetail Inn for lunch around 12:30ish. This was his 2nd time visiting ( he couldn't recall what he had the 1st time) and this was my 1st time. Walking in for the first time it was tastefully decorated with decor and there seemed to be plenty of seating for larger crowds. There were roughly 10-15 other guests spread out at the tables and bar stools. There were specials listed on the board which my dad went for ( half sandwich & bean soup) while I chose the smash burger with fries. They also had cottage cheese as a side which is my go-to appetizer/side over salad, etc. It was a good sized portion. Not every restaurant has cottage cheese as an option so they already got a star just for having that. Service was fast and the waitress was very friendly. Now here is why Dovetail Inn got 5 stars. The smash burger was a smashing success! Served on lightly toasted ( buttered?) ciabatta bun with melted cheddar cheese with lettuce/mayo toppings, the burger was one of the best I have ever had and I get a burger literally everywhere I go. The burger itself had great flavor and was seared to perfection. I rarely give a burger 5 stars but this had me salivating for more. I rarely eat an entire meal in 1 sitting but this burger couldn't wait to be devoured. It was so good I woke up the next morning and was still thinking about that burger! The french fries were bubbly and very similar to other places I have visited. Very solid fry. I shared some with my dad who devoured his meal before I was done with mine. We learned the tomatoes are freshly picked from the garden of the owner. They have delicious deserts available but we were too stuffed to enjoy those this time around.( deserts are made in-house and from a local popular bakery) Emden might be out of the way for most people but it's well worth the drive! The only minor complaint came from my dad who said the tap water didn't taste right and he only could take a couple of sips. I on the other hand drank my entire glass of tap water. You go there for the food not the drinks. My suggestion is to get a soda, tea or bring your own bottled water instead, if you are a water critic like him haha. They have a vest menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I really want to try the fried chicken next time I visit because I will be back!”

“In town for work and was looking for a good salad. I had the Apple Walnut salad. The portion was a great size and plenty of protein. The staff were friendly and helpful. The salad was amazing, and the price was on the spot.”

“In town on business and was looking for something different. I had a sandwich on their homemade bread, potato salad, and a piece of pie. The environment was great, and the staff matched the environment. I loved the sandwich and the potato salad. I'm picky about my coconut pie, so I'm not going to hold that against them. “They have a number of their own very good beers on tap supplemented by good beers from other breweries. They don't serve food so eat before you come or fill up with beer. Trivia ordinarily Wednesday night but I stopped by on a Sunday and played in a special trivia event. Great atmosphere and staff. I strongly recommend this place if you're near Lincoln”

“I am a HUGE fan of Mexican food. I lived in the San Diego area for many years. Mexican food was a part of daily life. Either made at home or in the plethora of restaurants that San Diego offered. So, now I live in Springfield and up until recently, it's been a struggle to find good Mexican food, that scratches that itch. Rio Grande, in Lincoln, will now be added to my short list of GREAT Mexican food restaurants. Our waiter, Steve was fantastic. I asked for his recommendations. Which he was happy to do. Our sodas were served in pitchers. How fantastic is that. The chicken Fajitas was tender, juicy and very flavorful. Back to Steve our waiter. He was hysterical. I tipped him $10.00 for the show alone.”

“Blizzards amazing, service a little slow [ possibly training a new hire ] , atmosphere is walk or drive thru... had a car full with five kids and two adults so there was no sitting in the Drive-Thru figuring out what everybody wanted to walk up to the window snowing outside so atmosphere a little weak”

“I hadn't ever had Champs chicken until about a month ago. Their chicken is by far THE BEST I've ever had hands down. It's so crispy and the oil they fry the chicken in literally tastes like butter to me. I would highly recommend anyone that loves other competitors to try this, and then see where you stand. “Never been to this city ever. I travel a lot. My lil ranger hit some debris on the highway and my brake line got severed so I got stuck here for the night. Walked here from the motel 6, and oh my good God. This place was everything I needed to pick me back up on my feet. Taylor was bartending, and made my night. Im talking about pure positivity, a regular knows a mechanic and hes gonna help me tomorrow morning to get me back on the road. This place is a site for sore eyes.
