“I am in absolute amazement. I had one of the most amazing dining experience at Ignotz. Our dinner plans changed last minute and we searched for an alternative. We knew it was going to be somewhat difficult to find an option in the city on a Saturday night. Well! Let me just say I called Ignotz and they accommodated us last minute. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday and oh boy! They make you feel like you are an old friend who they have know for years. All the staff and diners sing along and make it a celebration! I really cannot say enough about Joan and the hospitality was top notch! She and Roger checked in at our table a few times and both so warm and kind. In this day and age this kind of service and hospitality is hard to find..oh and the food! AMAZING! Let me tell you…HOLY CANNOLI! It was by far the best cannoli I have ever tasted. “I’m no stranger when it comes to Serbian food, since I have been to one Serbian restaurant and now 3 Serbian style cafés. The location can be easily missed if you don’t look closely, but it’s between J&C Modern Way Dry Cleaners and D’Pelos Salon. When you walk in, you order at the counter. They have 5 tables that you can sit at if you choose to dine in. I decided to go with some of their traditional bakery items like burek and mantije. I also ordered prosciutto cotto calzone. The owners were very nice and helpful. One of the owners offered me a piece of mantije to sample. Prices were extremely reasonable, they definitely give you a generous amount of food for your money.

-burek (meat) 5 - they have 3 different kinds, meat, cheese, and pizza. It had a flaky crust and the meat was very tender. If you have this for breakfast, it is filling but it’s good if you’re in a hurry.
-mantije (meat) 5 - kind of a miniature version of a burek but bite size. Crust is crunchy with a plentiful amount of meat in each piece. This was one portion.
-prosciutto cotto calzone 5 - you will have to be patient because it does take a little awhile to prepare and cook. I loved the big pieces of prosciutto and I like how the pesto just oozes out with each bite. The crust has a tasty, cheesy taste from the mozzarella.“

“These guys have been on my list for a while and it was worth the wait. THIS IS PIZZA. Bridgeport phils still has my heart but this place just bumped into the 2/3 spot for me. TOP 3 Chicago pizzeria.

Crust: this is what did it for me. The crust was a perfect thickness and kept its structure/ crisp throughout the whole pizza

Sauce: they’re cooking down their own sauce I believe. It’s got a touch of that fresh tomato sweetness. Nothing over powering, just a great classic sauce

Sausage/cheese: high quality Battaglia products. Traditional cheese blend and good sausage. Nothing crazy in this category but definitely brings their pizza together

“My first time in was yesterday and the cashier, maybe he’s the owner? I’m not sure but was so nice! He answered the questions I had, he was very patient, and even recommended me his choice of things. It's refreshing to see people who actually care about their job these days and customer service. On top of all of that great impression, the pizza was SO good I got a slice of cheese, and their Hala sausage and I was surprised of how good it was???. The crust was crispy on the bottom, and had a softer outside crust. The cheese was good, and the Hala Sausage tasted fresh you definitely got a loyal customer here??‍♀️?. I can’t wait to try other things on the menu. Thanks for everything, and keep up the great work.“

There was a handicapped gentlemen that came in after my husband and myself so they asked if we could move to a booth for easier seating for the gentleman’s wheel chair. We of course moved.
