“A Big Shout Out to Happi Sushi in Highland Park. We were lucky enough to try a number of their apps and rolls. Every single thing we got was SO delicious 😋. Their sushi was fresh, tasty, and so yummy. The apps are unique and full of flavor. We just love this family owned restaurant. The staff goes above and beyond for each patron. “We go to Backyard Grill often because they have menu options for everyone in the family, from burgers, hot dogs, to salads, pasta, and my favorite - the chicken souvlaki platter. “We traveled quite a ways to eat here since it is considered by many to be a great old school Chicago restaurant. We went for lunch and it was very quiet inside when we arrived. My kid commented that all the songs that were playing were on her playlist so she was thrilled. She had the sweet and sour chicken and I had the Kung Pao beef. Both were really good and the portions were huge. The meals came with egg drop soup which was excellent and then we also had spring rolls which were very large and really good. Service was very good and the food was reasonably priced. I do wish they still had the old neon sign out front.“

“My favorite Chinese take out spot in all of Highland Park (and it’s conveniently located a walk away for me)! The General Tso's chicken dinner is my go-to menu item (it even comes with a roll). The chicken Pad Thai is pretty solid too.“
