“Went to celebrate my 60th Birthday today with my family for lunch, and it was excellent. After speaking with Craig (Owner) he truly is passionate about serving good, fresh quality food! Everything we ordered was worth coming back again. It’s also family run and his daughters who were servers were exceptional and charming. A++++++“

“They had a large and diverse selection of beers, from lagers to stouts and everything in-between. Some breweries get into a rut or theme and only really specialize in one or two types. Glad their selection is so varied.

They have a nice patio area and nice indoor seating area as well, although it is on the cozy/small side.

Part of their seating area is up a flight of stairs, and when 2 people are trying to navigate going both up and down at the same time woth beer/glass, it can get tricky.

Parking is a little cramped based on the limitations of the location.“

“I was in town for Cicada research and after a long first day, Rosie's was suggested by multiple people. I had the Special and (it was steak skewers thar night) everything was prepared beautifully. The staff are amazing. By request, I returned the favor and fed them. Fried Cicadas. kitchen staff, wait staff and bartenders. all of them are skilled and have great personalities. I will go out of my way to return. Thank you on behalf of myself and the "Name That Bug!" community.“

6 am opening, perfect. Had steak and eggs. Exactly what I ordered. Waitress checked on me more than once after food was served. Music was 80's but not too loud to have conversation. All in all, I will be back.“

The way it combines with the cheese and pulled chicken creates an excellent balance of tangy, Smokey, and creamy flavors that I did NOT want to stop eating. “After years we finally tried Annie’s and we were not disappointed. I had their smoked burger and fries they recommended the mustard sauce with it. Excellent addition and suggestion. The other food we had was the brisket plate with a corn muffin, cole slaw and potato salad. The brisket on its own was delicious so tender. The various sauces just added to the flavors of the brisket. The amount of food you get for what you pay is such a good price, definitely wont go hungry. We will definitely be back.“

“This place is amazing. Best samoas I ever had and huge menu. The ambiance is good— split between evening dining and a cafe type vibe. Good for whatever you are feeling. Looking forward to going again and sampling much more of the menu. Oh, also, it is just off of Route 9 in the small strip mall across from Chucke E Cheese. Easy place to get lunch or dinner in town.“

“This was our first time here. Big credit for knowing how to make basted eggs since most restaurants have no idea what they are. The bacon was crispy as ordered. The Swedish pancakes and the buttermilk pancakes were both excellent.
Service was great and the restaurant was clean with a great atmosphere.

“Hands down the best pizza in central Illinois. It’s clear how fresh and original this place is. It’s not often I find a place where I could get a different item each time and be just as satisfied as before. Always have to try the specialty pizza of the month, usually it’s a hit. Favorite regular menu pizzas are Blackjack Mac and Grillmaster. Flingers has yet to even remotely let me down. Easy 5 stars“

“Amazing food and atmosphere!

We got the thai tuna rice bowl, schnitzel a la holstein and chicken flautas.

The Chicken Flautas appetizer came with 3 pieces. Very crispy and delicious. Be careful, the jalpeno peppers on top pack a punch!

The Thai Tuna Rice Bowl was so fresh and had such big pieces of tuna. There was definitely strong thai tastes in the rice. Highly recommend!

The Schnitzel A La Holstein had a fried egg and 2 pieces of schnitzel. The breading was very crispy and the meat was very tender. The spaetzle pasta was deliciously paired with cabbage. Also highly recommend!

“We enjoy Papa Murphy's Take - and - Bake Pizza every time we visit our daughter's family in Sandy Utah. The 10.99 Large 2 topping on TUESDAYS is a big hit with my 2 grandsons. Their ALL Veg is Wonderful, you just need to cook about 3 minutes extra to crisp the crust. I wish the Joliet IL area had many stores. My favorite Pizza is Aurelio's in Joliet on West Jefferson St.“

As I was looking through the cake selection book I happened to look over and up behind the bakery counter and I saw the most fantastic cheeseburger cake. I spoke with Monika, and found out that it was a specialty cake that she had just added to display. I asked if it was possible to customize it as my son eats plain hamburgers and would find the humor in that and Monika was very accommodating. The cake turned out so amazing. Monika is so creative and the cake turned out so good. A big THANK YOU to Monika for being just so nice and accommodating but also a fantastic creator of beautiful tasty cakes!“

“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The Chilaquilles are a mainstay and will feed you for several meals.

One of my primary barometers of a Mexican restaurant are the rice and beans. If a restaurant can't get those right, it's not a great sign. Not insurmountable, but it's a deciding factor in my choice. El Porton has rice and beans that would be on my last meal.“

“Good place to get tacos near ISU. The place wasn't busy after a football game. The vegan tacos had good ingredients, beans, mushrooms,sour cream and cheese but we're a little plain. Don't be shy to add their homemade salsas to kick it up a notch!“
