“I’ve been eager to try Mortadeli since it first opened, and after hearing so many rave reviews, I finally had the chance to stop by for lunch yesterday. Let me tell you, everything everyone says about this place is spot on! First off, the food is absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is so tempting, it was hard to choose, but I went with the meatball sub and pasta salad. As someone whose grandmother made the best meatball sandwiches, my expectations were high – but Mortadeli’s version did not disappoint! It was fantastic. The pasta salad was also amazing, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere at Mortadeli is incredibly inviting – it strikes the perfect balance between classy and cozy. The staff are very friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about making your experience special. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff and quick delivery of our food. “I work for ALDI corporate, and we've had Rammys cater our team building event in Elk Grove for three years now. Their subs are AMAZING, they are a breeze to work with and so friendly. My group loves the subs, the bread is fresh and don't get me started on the turtle brownies. On a personal note, the tuna sub is superb. Im very picky about tuna salad and I loved every bite. Run, do not walk, to Rammys.“

“Well I took Friday off and made this a bucket list to make a comparison to Old School Manny's deli and cafeteria. Surprisingly the food for their corned beef deli is delicious in another way. Quality was good it's not as greasy or thick as Manny's corned beef which you'll have a food coma if you ate a whole corned beef or pastrami sandwich over there here the way they make their sandwich is similar to Jason's deli if anybody remembers Jason's deli. Jason's deli was not bad but it wasn't greasy if you're the type that likes greasy salty corned beef if it's done right like Manny's then that's what you should go otherwise if you don't like that feel this might not be a restaurant or cafeteria to eat at. The corned beef in regards to quality their Mile high corned beef was light and delicious it's fresh too just like Manny's but not greasy and heavy. I have seen this on Facebook as well and they're Italian versus being a kosher Jewish and they've been around too but not as old as Manny's since they've been around since 1960 whereas Manny's has been around since 1942 and is as old as my parents. Ambience was very casual and friendly it was my first time I had a dress to the cashier it's not really a cafeteria style but you can still sit down and eat I would most likely come back also because of the prices since Manny's tends to be expensive for their sandwiches. This was expensive too but then again I ordered a chili and a tiramisu I was going to get a potato salad just to find out they had soups. If you're around Franklin Park in like Mom and Pop delis this is another good option and don't want to drive to Chicago for Manny's and an alternative to Jason's deli in oakbrook or in Chicago surprise I did not know the other Jason's deli at the four stars. Being an Italian deli it's going to be a bit more limited to certain kosher dishes so don't expect to have knish or matzo ball soup but they will have chicken noodle soup.“

“Every time I’ve been in the guy who is there is the same and I forget to ask his name but he’s not only very friendly but knowledgeable and ready to make suggestions every time. It’s as if he knows how intimidating making all the decisions to get a sub made. He suggests things such as my bread choice for the turkey sub I ordered and he said he loves the rosemary with it and he was right! It was delicious. “Suffering from the flu so my wife brought home chicken & dumplings soup from Rosalia’s. Best soup I’ve had in a long time. Not greasy, not salty, tons of shredded chicken. Reminded me of my grandma’s soup. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. Tasted truly homemade.“

“Great lunch spot in downtown Wheaton for a quick bite. The sandwiches are a very good and generous sized. I really like the grinders and panini when I want a hot sandwich. Great service & staff! There is outdoor seating so we can bring our dog when the weather is nice. It can get crowded on weekends around lunchtime, especially in the warmer months.

Parking: Plenty of street parking is available if you can find a spot. During busy times in Wheaton, I recommend the free parking garage, it is centrally located and only minutes walk to any of the attractions. It is maybe a 2 minute walk to the deli.

Kid-friendliness: Kids love eating here! Lots of families visit Shane's because of the very kid friendly menu.“

“The staff at this Subway restaurant are always very kind and friendly. The owner of this franchise is a very kind and generous person. He is always doing all he can to promote his business and service in the best way possible. I am very glad they are a part of our community here in Elk Grove Village. “I came into the shop with two adults with special needs. One of the owners took our orders. I forgot to ask her, her name. She took the time to ask the individuals I was with about what kind of meat they liked. She asked them if they liked pepperoni? They do. She suggested a sandwich for them, and they both said yes. She asked them if they wanted their sandwiches toasted, then she said do you want your sandwiches hot or cold. The individual understood her verbiage, and said hot, and the other individual said cold. She pointed to all the toppings that could go on their sandwiches. She did this one by one, and the individuals had the choice to what they wanted on their sandwich, instead of not having a choice. They both ordered chips, cookies, and a drink. She went to the fountain machine with their cups, and pointed out to each of the selection of soda’s. Again, giving them a choice. She even asked if they wanted ice, she took the time to fill up the drinks for them, and brought their drinks to where we were sitting. She even helped bring them their sandwich’s to the table. The individuals wanted chocolate chip cookies, but they were not done yet. She told us, it was going to take 20 minutes to be done, and asked us if we wanted to wait for them? When they were done, she brought them to us. I didn’t get a chocolate chip cookie, but she gave me a free one. I thanked her for her big heart, her kindness. I thought she didn’t look at the individuals as less than human, or stare at them like they were different. I gave her a side hug. She left out, and another staff member asked us how everyone was doing? I told him about how pleased I was with the owner. He told me he was the owner too, and that was his wife. I thought how amazing for a husband and wife to be so loving! His name is Monty. I will never forget how the individuals felt, and how I felt with the amount of patience and kindness coming from them, because honestly, I feel you always remember how someone made you feel, and I feel with the way the world is now, and for Monty and his wife to go above and beyond with no hesitation, says a lot about this store. Even their son was sitting at one of the tables, talking with another customer. He seemed so polite from what I observed. I am a loyal person, and I live in Palatine, and I love subway. Honestly, I’m not going to go to another subway restaurant. The store was very clean, and they bathroom were spotless. I could tell they took pride in their work and their store, just to show me how much they appreciated their customers. Monty and his wife lol thank you so much. “The place to go when you are shopping at Walmart if you ever get hungry, they have the best sandwiches in town. Are you especially like the subway melt which is ham, turkey, ham, bacon, and probably melted on it and then I had a lot of ingredients. I usually do it with multi Italian bread .“

“I've gone to this Subway location in the past. They're busy at lunchtime, it seems like they're even busier during the summer. Today they were short staffed, but they were also out of meat for the new italiano sandwiches? And then the guy ahead of me had 3 sandwiches that he needed made custom. How can someone come in at lunchtime and do that. Maybe next time call it in. I waited 15 min to my order in. And the one bathroom has been out of order for at least a month. Corporate or the owner of this location can't get someone to fix the bathroom?“

“I'm traveling for work, just landed in Chicago, went to go to the USO, and was told, as a veteran having had deployed to Iraq, that I am not allowed in the USO by some civilian. That's wild. Guy said he needed DoD id, then I pointed to where my member ID was. He said not good enough and told me I had to leave. I've gone to a lot of USO's and never been turned away as a vet.“
