“This isn't about the good (which I love), but about the people! I foster dogs and got a new foster puppy Saturday. She's very shy and afraid of people so she ran from everyone. She ended up in the reeds by Five Guys. The manager and two other employees help catch my foster pup! This could have ended horribly, but didn't. I'm eternally grateful! Thank you!!!“

“I placed an order for a jumbo cheese dog and fries and had to wait in the drive thru line over 30 minutes. They said they had a system issue but after reading the reviews I doubt that's the case. I got in line at 6:59 and placed my order it's now 7:33 and I just got the bag. I can't move anywhere because nobody else has their food so I have to sit here and wait. This is absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a jumbo cheese dog with tomato and pickle only and a large fry. I open the bag there's a cup in there with a tomato and pickle in it and a cup of cheese missing my hot dog and my fries. It's now 7:37 and I'm still waiting and my order is incorrect. Who just orders a cup of cheese and a pickle and a tomato. I left there at 8:03 finally with my hot dog and fries“

“This place has been around 'forever''. The food and service hasn't changed. Try this place, I guarantee you'll love it. I haven't t r ied the beef sandwiches, but I hear they're pretty tasty. Next time I end up there for lunch, a beef sandwich will be my choice.“

“Please don't put the gyros sandwich on a greasy grill...too soggy!! Also, cucumber sauce should be added AFTER the sandwich is made so it is still cool. Great place, food, prices!!“

“I stopped by Portillo's in Shorewood, IL, for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience! Their classic Italian beef sandwich is hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. The beef was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the bread was soft yet sturdy enough to hold up to the savory juices. I opted for it dipped with hot peppers, and the combination was incredible.
The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the restaurant had a clean, welcoming vibe. Whether you’re craving a hearty sandwich or just love Chicago-style comfort food, Portillo's is the place to go.“

“I catered food from here for my sons birthday party. The gal who took my order was pleasant and through. When I went to pick it up, the order was ready on time and I also received a discount I didn't even ask for! I was again pleasantly surprised to find that when my son and I were carrying out part of the large order because we knew we had to make a couple of trips, 2 employees had followed us out with the rest of the order and placed it in my car for me! The food we ordered was italian beef and sausage, baked mostaccioli, fried chicken and salads. Everything was prepared and packed well and all was delicious! Thank you Pops of Shorewood for going above and beyond and helping make my sons birthday a success!“
