“I’ve been going here for over fifty years. The place has changed owners a few times I think. The service and food is fantastic. One of the best bbq places to go. The sauce is unique and unmatched by anyone. The people there are friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.”

“Ordered cheeseburgers and fries! The hamburger patty was not a frozen patty it was hand patted burger patty. The bar tender was supper friendly and very nice! The atmosphere was great. It wasn't packed. Very few people there really. They have music on TV and pool tables.”

“My brother and sister-in-law were visiting from where they have made their home In Dallas, TX. All four of us grew up in Southern Illinois so we were interested in trying a bourbon bar in Alto Pass. We were not disappointed. I am not a bourbon person but the blueberry lemonade made with blueberry whisky was delicious. We had herb crusted goat cheese which was delicious. My sister-in-law and I shared red velvet bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Unbelievably good. The surroundings are comfortable and charming. The staff is friendly. I will be back.”

“Food was amazing. Chris and Mike were great company and very friendly people. My son got the Philly cheesesteak and said it was to die for. I had the garlic wrap , and a Chicago dog. They were both amazing. And the deep dish pizza is extraordinary. Highly recommend going here. They also have beer and other alcoholic beverages.”

“A fun find as we wander country roads in our rv. Quaint, popular small town hotspot! Enjoyed the decaf, hot chocolate, breakfast sandwich, bagel and cinnamon roll! So many choices of coffee flavors-reg & SF. Everything was delicious. Gal taking order was VERY pleasant and helpful!”

“My son was visiting from California and we took him to SV. We had a very good time. This is one of my favorites. The downside was the music was too loud for a small amount of people. We could barely hear each other so we only had one drink.Only posting 4 stars because of that reason.”

“Vegetarian options: The salad bar has homemade Italian dressing that is to die for! The ranch dressing is also delicious and homemade! The salad and numerous toppings are fresh! We also order pizza for carry out and our favorite is spinach and black olive! Highly recommend.”

“Stopped by this winery later on a Saturday. They had a line for tastings and flights so we got in line and patiently waited. When we got to the front of the line, we were told they weren't doing flights or tastings. They really should have a sign somewhere that states that so we could go to the purchases line instead. The staff did let us sample 2 so we could decide what we wanted. They also have a lovely seating area outside where we got to enjoy some live music.”

“Seen the trailer parked in Sparta and to be honest not expecting much and hoping for average. Holy smokes was I wrong!! Tremendous selection and everything we have bought so far has been unbelievably great!! “Seen this neat looking building with big letters spelling eat. My wife and I pulled in for a bit it was amazing we both got the chicken fried steak and one of all the side the dumplings was my favorite along with sweet tea.Parking: The parking was the worst of the whole thing small and awkward pull in with small crowded front parking lot and a much larger back parking lot but nothing pointing it out and was almost blocked with cars.”

“The most charming of all the dives and probably the best bar in all of southern Illinois! Friendly staff and great daily drink specials! And as a beard grower I certainly appreciate the best beard I have seen in my life and travels right there behind the bar standing about 6ft 3in off the floor on a bartender named Pat. Never did get the beard's name though. I think the beard was a 2 sheets to the wind and was just keeping quiet. Great place Good people Charming town Go there Drink Have fun Go home Procreate lots of offspring Train the offspring to be patrons of this establishment called Fuzzy's Make them wait until they are of legal age though...unless they are enlisted to be a first responder or a military member service person!”

“Teeny tiny out of the way local bar by the train tracks. Amazing!Vegetarian options: Some of the drinks may contain meat. I would not recommend asking any of your stupid hippy questions however. Just order a Sherley Temple and try not to move too much until you leave.Seriously though: I'll buy the first round of you plan to ask this here and invite me to watch. Har har har.”

“A couple weeks ago I ordered an all meat pizza. Hand tossed crust. I believe it's the best pizza I have ever eaten. I'm finicky about sauce. The sauce was awesome. It had several different kinds of meat, sausage, pepperoni, I think Canadian ham. But it was the best! Ordered the following weekend the same thing. If you get the chance order a pizza or sub. You won't be disappointed!!”

“This place is adorable! We went close to Halloween and they were the only winery that seemed to have decorations. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the wine tasting and the atmosphere.”

“Owl Creek vineyard is a must stop. Did I enjoy every single wine? Maybe. Maybe not. Was the service fine? Yes. It's a comfortable space with live music. We weren't there when the music was but there was a list on the wall which listed who will be performing and when. Outside on the patio was some vintage wine making supplies, some pieces I even recognized. Selections of wine and ciders are available and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. A selection of t-shirts was hidden to the right side of the bar. This vineyard is set up to stay for awhile and make yourself comfortable type of space. There is a cat roaming around who seemed to take a liking to me. I would come back, more likely when there was live music.”

“I grew up in Illinois and attended school at AJ class of 70. We raised our family in Missouri, Cape Girardeau area. We have family in Illinois. When we visit we always stop at Davis and take home goodies to share! I’ve never had a morsel of anything from there I didn’t find to be scrumptious! “Was in town for my class reunion which was held at Von Jakob. We decided to stay in the B&B as well. Our room was roomy and beautiful. Gorgeous view from the deck attached to our room. Our breakfast was hot and delicious. The venue was lovely for our reunion. The view from the patio is breathtaking. We left with some wine some whiskey and amazing memories.”

“This is the third time I've had this same problem. This was an app order. Foot long roast beef, extra meat and extra cheese, a variety of veggies. Pick up: Subway staff, we don't have an order for (name). Me, Well I was charged for it. SS: can you prove it?. Me, opens the app. SS, we can't accept that. Do you have a bank statement saying you were actually charged? Me, opens bank app shows purchase. SS did ya get a confirmation email? Me, whatever today. I knew where this was going because it's happened before, like I said. They did eventually make the sandwich....but for real here. Them hoops are getting to much to jump considering I'm giving them my hard earned money. I don't know who owns this place in Anna but seriously get staff on how to take the app orders. They get them and bump them off without making the order and then act like they don't know what happened. Last excuse was they never knew they even got the app orders because they didn't hear it come through. Maybe some training in that area would help. Maybe me spending my somewhere else would help too.”
