“Went to Opie's for the first time tonight to celebrate my and my boyfriend's 3rd anniversary and it was phenomenal! I had heard they had the best fried pickles in town...they absolutely do! And one order has to be equal to 2 jars of pickle chips. 🤯 I had the Big Mic Smash Tacos with fries...10/10! Also, the blueberry lemonade shake-up...dangerously delicious! My boyfriend had some wings, a beer battered tenderloin and fries and still hasn't stopped raving about it. Carolyn was our waitress and she was fun and upbeat. She said Opie never wants people to leave hungry and we most certainly didn't. We were stuffed and took home enough leftovers for a second meal each! We will definitely be returning! Truly a Galesburg gem! 🖤“

“We ate here for the first time before a show at the Orpheum, which is just around the corner. The food was excellent, and we were happy to see so many gluten free options. I had the meatloaf sandwich and I would have it again without hesitation. Fine crepe desserts, too. Highly recommended.“

“We had our son's rehearsal dinner at Iron Spike on June 7th 2024 and it was WONDERFUL! Manager Dan and bartender Ashley were very easy to work with and amazing. I didn't have to worry about anything. I had so many compliments from the atmosphere, to the food to the drinks from ours guest. All the compliments go to Dan,, Ashley,, and the rest of the team at Iron Spike. Everyone there had a really good time. If you need a venue don't hesitate to check out Iron Spike's party room, you will not be disappointed.“

“We arrived before 5:00 pm on a August Monday and were afraid they was closed (no one else there) but soon other customers came. A good vibe. Our server was very attentive. Great menu!! Very pleased with everything!!

“I haven't been to an AppleBee's in a long time and after a long day of driving we decided to walk from our hotel room to catch a hearty meal. We splurged and got drinks to relax. The bartender was not on his game as we waited quite a while and when I ordered a second drink (which I shouldn't have) it took FOREVER and we were ready to go at this point, and it didn't taste quite the same as the first one. The Cajun salmon was really good!! The server seemed like it was the end of her shift and was kinda ready to go (it was a little late, but not that late). My husband noted his food and whiskey sour were ok, not great. The atmosphere was really the same AppleBee's you find nationwide, which I'm sure is standard.
I know inflation and all that, but it really seemed expensive to me for an average person's nice dinner establishment and what we got for over $100 ( 3 drinks and 2 meals)“

“I absolutely love coming to the packinghouse! the salad bar is a must have! it is always VERY fresh, and there are a lot of options to choose from. I have tried many things off of the menu. The calamari is great! You wont regret trying anything off of the menu! The jalapeño chicken wraps to the meat loaf all the way to the steaks are great choices depending on what you are craving that day! Did I mention that the salad bar is phenomenal? I've tried many of the drinks here, and I love the long islands and I especially love their red cabernet sauvingons! this place is great whether you are coming here alone, with a group, or for date night! I could really go on and on about why you should eat here but I'd love to see you experience it for yourself! Tonight I had the pleasure of Alexia and Kolissa serving me and they are both great compliments to this establishment! They also were more than accommodating! 5 out 5 EVERYTIME!“

“This place is deceiving. It looks like a regular diner. But the food was delicious and inexpensive. The vegetable beef soup was truly like my grandma made it. Wonderful. The horseshoe was the best I have had anywhere with a delicious beef patty seasoned excellently. The fajita salad my husband had was good. They also have breakfast options all day. This is not your ordinary diner food. Waiter was excellent and energetic. Very attentive. This is worth the drive.“
