“We live 2.5 hours south of Lake Villa, but we were meeting some friends from Florida for dinner. They were in the area for their grandson’s graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy. Found this place via Google and it had great reviews, with good reason. We wish we lived closer because it would be a favorite for sure. Probably the best bruschetta and lasagna I’ve had in a very long time. Everyone loved their entrees. We tried multiple pasta dishes and the pizza. Prices were very reasonable and our service was exceptional. Excellent dining experience all around. Highly recommend.“

They had so many different kinds of pizza and our large group got to try each of them. “We hosted an end of the season tackle football banquet for 50 people in the party room at JJ Twig’s in Wauconda tonight. Tiffany was a dream to work with — super responsive, accommodating, and had great insight into just how much food to order. The party room was the perfect private venue that allowed our rambunctious group of 10 year old boys some space to roam without disturbing other diners. Food was good — we ordered pizzas, baked mostaccioli, meatballs, chicken tenders and salad. Compared to other local venues we considered, JJ Twig’s is a real value. Along with the good food and great service, JJ Twig’s is the full package!“

“Pizza snob here. I have been a pizza fiend since TMNT in the 80s. It’s not easy to move into my top 5 favorite pizza places and Nancy has moved to my number one favorite pizza!
We get their deep dish with cheese. Yum!! Everything is on point! The sauce has the perfect amount of sweetness and is not too bold. It’s just right. The blend of cheeses they use is perfect.
Now I feel many deep dishes struggle to have a good crust. Sometimes places make it too thick or too crunchy or too dry, and eating the cornicione becomes a chore. But this isn’t the case with Nancy’s.
The pizza is pricey, but check those coupons that come in the mail. Usually there is a coupon for a certain percentage off on Monday and Tuesday .“

“We love Rosati's of Lakemoor! Their thin crust pizza is delicious, they have great wings, and their salads are large and fresh....all the food we've ordered is really consistent. We especially love their pizza sausage—true Chicago style! We usually don't eat inside the restaurant, but the carry out service and delivery service is always on time. “This is a solid pizza joint. I’ve ordered delivery 4-5 times. Good ingredients, speedy delivery and consistent results. Plus the delivery guy is a nice guy and seems genuinely proud of the pizza. I compare it to to Rosatis, but I like this better, and that’s with zero shade. In conclusion… if Jimanos is in your neighborhood hood, you should give it a chance. Ps the BLT Pizza was awesome. “Came here after a long day of walking at the nearby amusement park. Place was not very crowded and we were able to order immediately and sit down. I ordered a mod pizza with several custom toppings. Pizza came out relatively fast, about 15 minutes, and were very warm. Pizza came out delicious and perfectly cooked. Pizza definitely filled me up fully. “Sweet Melissa’s seems like a a neighborhood pizza pub. They have outdoor seating. They have what seems like video gaming machines. They offer some specials during the week. The spinach artichoke dip was very good.it was served with warm pita chips. It was creamy and very tasty. The bruschetta was good the only thing I did not like about was the bread toasted. It said it was served on crisp Italian bread but our bread was anything but crisp. It was basically fresh bread top with all the toppings. The toppings were very good but it lack that crunchy bite you normally get. My friend order a large margarita. And we ordered a loaded margarita with extra pepperoni instead of the bacon. I was surprised to see how thin the crust was. It’s almost like a cracker crust. Also surprised to see a margarita. without fresh mozzarella. Except for the very thin crust the toppings on pizza was plentifully. We also ordered a piece of tiramisu since it was my friend’s birthday. The slice was delicious. The three of us actually split the slice since we were too full to have a slice for ourselves. I guess if you like your pizza crust thin this is the place for you. I would come back again to try their other foods. Their menu looks exciting enough to come back.“

I accomplished all three at Rosati's!It's a really small location, with a small rail bar with a few stools to sit at. Just enough to eat your food and be on your way if you're not getting to go. All of the ingredients for our meal were fresh and crisp. The pizza was extremely good, I had no issue with it. I'm going to also post this on my list of pizza joints. My son enjoyed his beef sandwich, and my wife thought it was one of the biggest, tastiest and attractive salads she's had. The staff was kind, and they brought our order out to our vehicle when it was done. I have to give them kudos, and the place was nice and clean from everything I could see. And the prices were very reasonable compared to some other establishments. I highly recommend Gabito?!?
