Recently came in and wanted lunch but they didn't have lunch on Sunday, but it is koffee kup after all not lunch during the church rush. That was the only bummer I have ever had coming here and I have been here 5+ times in like 2-3 weeks for breakfast and I live 20 minutes away.”

“We just celebrated my wife's surprise 65th birthday Sunday with 14 family members. We chose El vado #2 Mexican Restaurant and couldn't be any happier. From them going out of their way purchasing ballons and banners to her complimentary frozen ice cream the service, food and drinks were phenomenal. Very warm and welcoming staff. Very appreciative of your business and fantastic atmosphere. Thank you for this memory. Never felt rushed. Everyone in our family raved on how great it was and was one of our best parties ever. Familiar with their other restaurant in McHenry which is also excellent and reasonably priced. You have to try this place if you like mexican food. A+++”

“We were so sad to hear the store close in McHennry! It was our family tradition to visit you as well as my child. We always make it priority to visit you! While visiting for a week it’s normal to visit 2-3 times before we go!!”

“The evening we went it was very cold out so the restaurant was not extremely busy. This restaurant will be one of regulars. We shared small plates which were among the best we ever had. Wi has the bread, most delicious toppings, the tomotoes were outstanding. Along with bacon wrapped dates with pistachio. Llarge dates, with a warm honey sauce wrapped in bacon and topped with crumbles nuts. Equally good. The topper was the chacuterrie board. Best we've ever had. Uniquie cheeses and Meats along with apples, nuts and sweet dried cranberries. The owner explained about the cheeses and meats and where they came from. Very, very, good. And we enjoyed being informed. Our waitress, Jan was perfect. Introduceed herself and provided attentive yet not intrusive service. The chef stopped by our table as well. This would be our neighborhood favorite but is worth the travel, which was only 25 minutes for us.”

“while they usually do great I ordered 2 of the big Kahana tubs today. I've never had one but as the sandwich and pictures show, it's not supposed to have lettuce. I had half my teeth removed a few weeks ago and lettuce is just not doable for me. highly disappointed.”

“Sont judge the place from the parking lot, it is very big inside and it deserves 5 star rating. I had ribeye taco dinner! The beat tacos i ever had. My wife had a fajita and it was delicious. Absolutely the best Mexican place in the 20 miles radius. Highly recommended.”

“My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. The salad was missing the pecans but I forgot until I left, I thought something was missing. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The ratio of shrimp to half portion was good. Mac N Cheese was ok. Noodles were undercooked and some still hard/crunchy edges and cheese sauce was just average and a bit gritty/thick. However, I was not expecting my meal to be served with plastic wrapped plastic utensils. a take home box for salad and a take home container for dining in. That was disappointing. the table of eight next to me was a bit shocked too to get their meals in to go cardboard containers.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful first dining experience at Lago in Lake Zurich. Our server, James M., was wonderfully attentive and truly went above and beyond to make our evening special. We were delighted by the tableside preparation of the caprese salad, which was fresh and absolutely amazing. For our main courses, we had three steaks and a fish entrée, and each was cooked beautifully and tasted delicious. The quality of the food and the skill in its preparation were evident in every bite. This was our first time here, but it certainly won't be our last. We highly recommend Lago for anyone looking for a fantastic meal and exceptional service!”

“I've been coming here for awhile, and have always loved the food. The difference is lately (last couple months or so)I've noticed a change in the presentation and cleanliness of the restaurant, the morale of the staff, and just the entire energy of this place has changed. Disney bingo is a great example. That place was insanely busy yet everyone was happy, service was great, and the guests didn't suffer because of the volume of business. Then the other day I met the new manager! It all started to make sense. I can't remember her name but she was so cute and professional. Her charisma is contagious and I just feel like you guys are doing a great job and moving in a great direction. Happy holidays to you all and thanks for the amazing food from our family.”

“We were at a food truck event and saw Kurbside Pizza and Panini! When we went to order a delicious sounding panini (Pear and Prosciutto), turns out it was supposed to be a pizza… They wanted to try to make it into a panini as they hadn’t done it before. We were SO GRATEFUL they did because it was one of the most delicious (and beautiful) panini sandwiches we have had! The food ratio of the ingredients was just right, the large panini bread was toasted perfectly and melted as you took a bite—including the crust that is typically very hard from other restaurants. I would have never thought to combine those ingredients together, but the combination was tasty! They used very fresh ingredients as well, including generous slices of the pear. We highly recommend Kurbside Pizza and Panini! PS—how cute is this truck as well with the pizza wings? Amazing experience! 💖”

“Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.”

“Superb lunch spot with clean spacious booths suitable for conversation. Blissfully no music playing! The food was prepared and brought to our table in 5 minutes. The McAllister club was nice to split with my wife, with fresh ingredients and a sweet sauce with just a hint of spice…mostly mayo but there is something more going on there. Potato salad was fresh…..a little bland but that’s OK. Can’t beat the affordable prices.”
