“We had such a great experience at Walker Bros. in Lake Zurich! The food was delicious I ordered a mushroom and cheddar omelet, which was a big portion and really tasty, and the strawberry crêpe was amazing. My family loved everything they ordered too.

The service was wonderful they were quick, kept our coffee filled, cleared plates right away, and always made sure we had what we needed. What really stood out was the atmosphere and kindness. The owner noticed we had a big group and asked if we were celebrating something. When he found out it was my birthday, they surprised me with ice cream and a candle, and my family sang happy birthday. That little gesture really made the day special.

Thank you, Walker Bros., for making my birthday such a memorable one. We’ll definitely be back!”

“We just celebrated my wife's surprise 65th birthday Sunday with 14 family members. We chose El vado #2 Mexican Restaurant and couldn't be any happier. From them going out of their way purchasing ballons and banners to her complimentary frozen ice cream the service, food and drinks were phenomenal. Very warm and welcoming staff. Very appreciative of your business and fantastic atmosphere. Thank you for this memory. Never felt rushed. Everyone in our family raved on how great it was and was one of our best parties ever. Familiar with their other restaurant in McHenry which is also excellent and reasonably priced. You have to try this place if you like mexican food. A+++”

“We had a wonderful meal!! Have been driving by for years and wanting to stop in. So glad we did! I have never had chicken picatta so tender before and the serving size was amazing! Delicious!!”

“My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. The salad was missing the pecans but I forgot until I left, I thought something was missing. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The ratio of shrimp to half portion was good. Mac N Cheese was ok. Noodles were undercooked and some still hard/crunchy edges and cheese sauce was just average and a bit gritty/thick. However, I was not expecting my meal to be served with plastic wrapped plastic utensils. a take home box for salad and a take home container for dining in. That was disappointing. the table of eight next to me was a bit shocked too to get their meals in to go cardboard containers.”

“The tacos were good. The salsa was extremely spicy (still edible, but I prefer a more mild salsa, especially in a restaurant setting) and the chicken taco which claimed to be spicy, actually wasn't, which I thought was kind of strange. The pico de gallo on my fish taco was also very hot since it contained a lot of jalapeno. Out of the 3 tacos I got the mahi mahi was my favorite.”

“Stopped here after about 7 - 8 games of Pickleball, with a big appetite- left full, satisfied, with plenty for at least another meal.
Had the Ground Beef burrito, and it was yummy! The House made chips and salsa were also delicious. ( these were complimentary)
There’s something about the chips that really stuck out for me in a positive way. They weren’t greasy at all, and had a nice taste & crunch to them.
The salsa had a little kick but not too much. (they brought other sauces to the table you could use as well that I’m guessing we’re spicier, but I’m not a spicy gal)
Employees were friendly, the atmosphere is very casual.
Prices are definitely reasonable & fair

“We had an absolutely wonderful first dining experience at Lago in Lake Zurich. Our server, James M., was wonderfully attentive and truly went above and beyond to make our evening special. We were delighted by the tableside preparation of the caprese salad, which was fresh and absolutely amazing. For our main courses, we had three steaks and a fish entrée, and each was cooked beautifully and tasted delicious. The quality of the food and the skill in its preparation were evident in every bite. This was our first time here, but it certainly won't be our last. We highly recommend Lago for anyone looking for a fantastic meal and exceptional service!”

“while they usually do great I ordered 2 of the big Kahana tubs today. I've never had one but as the sandwich and pictures show, it's not supposed to have lettuce. I had half my teeth removed a few weeks ago and lettuce is just not doable for me. highly disappointed.”

“1st off, I'm not a local guide as this stupid Google system says I am. Ok, Native New Yorker now living in Texas, seriously missing good Chinese food. I was in Illinois for business and a coworker suggested China Style and it was delicious! The nice woman at the counter had them make BBQ Pork Fried Rice for me, to go with an order of BBQ Pork and it was all very good! The prices were standard for what Chinese food costs these days. It was so good. I came back 2 days later for more of the rice and had the Chicken with Broccoli and it was very good as well! Thank you to the nice woman for having the order prepared specifically for what I wanted! Best Chinese I've had away from New York.”

“We were at a food truck event and saw Kurbside Pizza and Panini! When we went to order a delicious sounding panini (Pear and Prosciutto), turns out it was supposed to be a pizza… They wanted to try to make it into a panini as they hadn’t done it before. We were SO GRATEFUL they did because it was one of the most delicious (and beautiful) panini sandwiches we have had! The food ratio of the ingredients was just right, the large panini bread was toasted perfectly and melted as you took a bite—including the crust that is typically very hard from other restaurants. I would have never thought to combine those ingredients together, but the combination was tasty! They used very fresh ingredients as well, including generous slices of the pear. We highly recommend Kurbside Pizza and Panini! PS—how cute is this truck as well with the pizza wings? Amazing experience! 💖”

“Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.”

Lake perch fish fry was fantastic as were the grilled shrimp and curly fries. Can’t wait to go back on a nice day and sit outdoors with a beautiful lake view!”

“I've been eating at Bacchus for years. Never disappoints, food always fresh ! Love the seafood, their sauces are delicious and makes the dish exceptional. One of my favorites is the bacon wrapped sea scallops and the grilled salmon. Desserts are fresh and they have seasonal specials. Clean and cozy. The staff makes you feel like family. Must try!”
