“We went on a Friday late afternoon, I had the prime rib. It was not super tender but very very tasty. 2 others at our table had lake perch and said it was excellent. Soup and salad bar were very good, and prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be going back.“

“I recently hosted a last minute surprise birthday party. Everyone at Sips & Stones was incredible. I was looking for a place that would just allow seating for 25 people without having to reserve a room or have pre planned menu. They accommodated every request and helped make it an absolutely wonderful evening. Susan took care of our party and was absolutely incredible! She was the best! “Had lunch here, food was pretty good. Location was previously a different "UFO" restaurant, that had since closed and re-opened as the current Mexican place. At the time I was last there, the Google Maps entry for this place hadn't updated yet, so this review was added belatedly.“

“Great place for a selection of meats and cheeses. Lunches to go or dine in. Also added a bar with various craft beer choices and indoor seating. Rear kitchen sometimes features restaurant takeovers with special menus as well. Located in the heart of downtown Griffith Indiana it's the perfect spot for break while shopping. Plenty of items to browse as well related to Charcuterie boards. Much better than your average deli!“

“A nightclub in the middle of Harvey. And...it...was....bumpin!!!! On a Thursday!!! Just wow!!! The bar inside is fairly small but well appointed. Since it s summer? They had 3 huge tents...and a great sou d system. It was not only loud? But clear. You could hear the music clearly and the lyrics were clearly discernable from several blocks out. Wow Smittys!!! You are winning!!!
The security was also excellent. With the sidewalks all blocked off......with horses and tape and rope. Done well. Bumpin in Harvey!!! If u want a black owned nightclub? With great music? Atmosphere? Vibe? With young AND grown people? You ve found it!!!!

“Club LaVue Bar and Grill has great service and great security a very clean neat parking lot the restrooms are clean all the time the atmosphere is great a great place to have a drink and a great place to have a party.“

“It's a small place with lots of big personalities. Dream is a great bar star and pours a mean drink. Prices are economical and you feel safe there. They scan everyone's ID which I think is a Posen requirement but I like it so if anything occurs, you know who was there. They have karaoke on Tuesdays and the owner has complimentary smoked wings and salad for patrons.“

“Sometimes the owner of uncle Bobby's bar will Grill some food. The atmosphere is very nice everybody knows each other a lot of active and retired fireman and policeman attend. Also a lot of Armed Force branches Services men and women attend this Bar. Very friendly place they also have a pool table a jukebox and a dart board, highly recommended“

They rotate their drink menu, there are always good local options (e.g., IPAs, Stouts, Lagers, Sours, Ciders), and they have a nice outdoor seating area that can be used during the warmer months. The bartenders are nice and playful and their food menu includes some clearly identified vegan options. They also have a couple of old arcade games you can play for free and have a bingo night, which is fun.“

The bartender makes decent conversation and interacts often. She is a nice person and give you what you need.

I ordered a Gin & Sprite and she mentioned her only availability of 7-Up. She was overall kind and helpful. I value that in a bartender.

I understand people have to do their job but she has a warmness that comes to her work but makes the atmosphere comfortable; as if speaking to a family member.

“Great pizza, but dropped the ball with service on recent visit. This is one of our favorite places for pizza in the area, and we go there regularly. The food is always good, but today, we sat there for over 20 minutes without a single person stopping by to offer us water, offer to take our drink order or even just acknowledge our being there. It wasn’t even especially busy - most tables were empty. We gave up and went somewhere else.“

“Wow!! What a beautiful space overlooking the lake calumet with boats. Outdoor patio for smoking stogies, plenty of TVs to watch football or any live action sports team. The music system was loud and good.. the drinks were good and were open pour.. I very reluctantly came here for a friend’s birthday.. had never been.. I immediately saw Burnham and thought it would be a very small and dated corner lounge.. I’m very glad I came.. I was floored, what a “ beautiful island”“
