“First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

“Ordered the half order of biscuits and gravy meal The biscuits were soft and fresh, gravy was flavorful, scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy, and bacon perfectly crisp. Food was seasoned well and not overly salty. Orange juice was cold and refreshing but very small. My only complaint would be there was a LOT of gravy compared to the size of the biscuits, making the biscuits appear much larger than they actually were. Overall, really great breakfast. Would definitely order it again.“

“Riviera is a great little local diner. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is good. The prices reasonable. I've eaten there dozens of times. It's comforting, familiar and affordable.

I can tell that the staff gets along well and I'd guess that they have been working together for quite some time. They joke with each other and with the regulars. There is a lot of laughter. It creates a pleasant environment in which to sit and eat a hearty meal.

Its not fancy. It's not spectacular. It's just a good little spot with nice employees who care. And I've come to realize that it is surprisingly hard to find places like that. And they should be appreciated.“

“This place was very nice: clean, peaceful atmosphere, good food options. I take it that this is a place that is under new management/ownership with the name change to Mr. Stacks. Though the decor is the same the service is elevated. The food was good: served hot, fresh ingredients, tasty. The service was excellent: Alicia was very attentive, cordial, easy going. She checked on my numerous times during my short visit.“

“The food was fresh and piping hot as the waitress brought it out to everyone in my 5-person party. I had the meatlovers skillet. The meats were cooked to my liking, no uncooked bacon, and the potatoes were fully cooked to perfection. The eggs were cheesy and blended together easily in my skillet. The pancakes were fluffy and hot with my meal. The wait was semi long for table/booth, but the food didn't disappoint.“

“I went in and I was greeted immediately and I was able to get a booth by request. The restaurant was also extremely clean.
My server, Melanie, was extremely kind and she constantly checked up on us and made sure we had everything we needed. “Enjoyed breakfast as a family of 3 adults. Clean restaurant, friendly staff and a large menu to choose from. I enjoyed FRESH strawberry waffle (fresh fruit in December!!) My husband had FRESH blueberry pancakes and my son had biscuits and gravy! Decent pricing, easy access from interstate ( just a short drive down Indpls blvd). We'll be back when in the area.“

I understand mistakes happen but I said clearly what I wanted and even pointed at it on the menu. Deborah is so sweet as well! I hope you all know what great employees you do have! In the middle of the night, normally we would receive service that was subpar because most people do not want to be working in serving midnights. This was not the case at all with these two!
