“First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

“My grown sons and I meet here once a month to hug and catch up on family events.
We are treated special and well cared for. The food is delicious and made to your specifications. I absolutely love the gluten free pancakes and omelets.
The bacon is crispy and sausages tasty.
I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is great, especially the bus boy and waitresses check on you regularly.

“My first experience here, chose the chorizo hash skillet for breakfast. It was HUGE and beautifully topped with great tasting guacamole and a roasted jalapeño. The flavor had just the right amount of heat. Enjoyed every bite. My waitress was fun to chat with. Even met the owner. My new favorite breakfast place whenever I am in town. 5 stars!“

“Looked up this place (to find somewhere near another place we were going). This popped up and looked good so we tried. It did NOT disappoint. Food was fantastic, huge portions and came out quickly. Their coffee is nice and strong (my preference), and the staff was attentive and friendly.

“Great value and even better service. Ordered the Indiana Skillet w/pancakes. It was enormous and delicious, served quickly, and the server was incredibly attentive and friendly. The server provided all of extras, as well; butters, jams, condiments, coffee creamers up front, and kept the coffees and water glasses full. Truly a great experience. I am looking forward to head back soon.“

“Fast service for seating on a Thursday morning, great waitress service, clean , meals was hot when served and the best part was the bathroom clean , smelled great, loved the handlebars that you can use with your arm so you don’t have to use your hand , would recommend this place for your self or family! “The pancakes are amazing! Never had such great tasting food! The hash browns and bacon were on point. I ordered crispy and they came out to perfection not burnt or soggy. The strawberries were so fresh and the coffee also had great taste no after taste or old taste. The servers were super friendly and polite. Super fast service. Over all amazing totally recommend it! The prices are very reasonable and the proportions are very well calculated.

“Sammy's Breakfast: Any of you know about truck stop food? Well, this is not a truck stop but it's a place that "everyone" goes to for quick and delicious meals. The menu is mind bending. There's only a couple of stools to eat at so 99% of the people are ordering takeout. It's really worth giving it a try.“

“Food is usually pretty good here. Service during the day is good but if you go in late at night, just be prepared to wait 30+ minutes for your check or Togo boxes. Portion sizes are decent. Nice selection of desserts in the front. Bathrooms are taken care of pretty well.“

We stopped in late at night and he did not disappoint. Food was flawless and service, again was spot on. Management material if it is his desire or part of his plan.
