California roll was tender and fresh. Fried rice was cooked perfection as well. Perfectly balanced overall. Excellent service. I really appreciate the attention to filling waters /drinks when necessary. Atmosphere was friendly and so is the staff.“

“Great spot for sushi tucked away in this shopping center. Went here with my family for dinner. Ordered four sushi rolls and we enjoyed all of them. The spicy tuna crunch was especially good, with the fried rice adding great texture to the dish. The restaurant was nicely decorated and upscale. They were well staffed and service was exceptional. Let's start with the food; They have quite a variety of food, good quality ingredients although nothing different or a reference point, I consider that their quality-cost-portion ratio is still in good balance, I would recommend perhaps improving the speed in food preparation a little .

Service, just good, nothing bad, nothing to highlight, it only remains as something that would not provide added value.

Regarding the environment, it is good, enough spaces for people, you can interact with the people you go to without any restrictions, you can go with your family, friends without any problem.“

“We have a typical sushi restaurant that we go to up in Gurnee but last night we decided to try somewhere new which was Umai Sushi. What a pleasant surprise! The place is big, they have a really cool circular bar when you first walk in, and a self serve salad and miso soup bar. Not to mention the cocktails are AWESOME! The absolute best part though was the sushi boat for 2 we got was incredible! The sashimi pieces were thick and the salmon was so buttery and melted in your mouth. The nigiri pieces were massive! I highly recommend coming here, you won’t be disappointed!“

“Very kind gentleman who offered a sample of teriyaki chicken… That what got me to get food here lol. He was quick and piled as much food as humanly possible into the box. They definitely make sure you have enough for lunch AND dinner (if you can’t finish it all in one sitting). Good price for the amount of food you get, definitely recommend.“

“My wife and I have become a little picky with our restaurant selection but this place was great and the food was fresh, it has fancy atmosphere with decent pricing. We have come a couple of times with my wife for their lunch specials and they are the best. Pricing is very fair for what you get. We had the 2 sushi roll option and I had the Chicken pad Thai which was great. The server was a little serious and dry but it's been great every time.

“Really good place! I was expecting generic Chinese but I was pleasantly surprised. I asked the owner if the egg foo young was made with real eggs, or eggs from a carton. He was kind of shocked at the notion he would use eggs from a carton and assured me it was made with fresh eggs and freshly-made vegetables, like he would not be caught dead doing it any other way. That gave me a good feeling about the place - he clearly had pride in what he does. We had a vegetarian and a celiac in the party and he was very understanding and respectful of their needs. We are picky eaters but were all very happy with our meals, which were really good. Big portions too!“

“Fuji Thai is the best restaurant in the area! I worked here for 4 years when I was younger and Ive been back as a customer every time I’m in town for the past 5 years.
