Lee and Danita have that gift in their soul so you have to wait for all that goodness to be assembled for your dining experience. “First, the food is DELICIOUS! They have a lot more flavors of chicken available than some other K.F.C. restaurants. The tteokbokki offers more flavors & add in’s as well. You can tell the company really cares about their food quality and customer satisfaction-eg they have steam vents built into the containers and the keep your to-go order propped slightly open until you pick up your order all so that your chicken remains crispy, rather than getting soggy waiting in a closed container! The staff are always very polite & conscientious. LOVE THIS PLACE!“

“With new Korean places popping up in Vernon Hills, this place is still a family favorite. The food is home-cooked and super authentic — not to mention several dollars cheaper than alternative K-restaurants. The mom-and-pop vibes are real, and we’re always greeted with big smiles. Will be back :)“

“My daughter and I traveled from DC to Chicago for a cheerleading competition. We decided to try Porky's... I am not making this up, hands down the best BBQ I've had in years. The combo sandwich with brisket and pork, is phenomenal. The Porkys Beans with brisket, left me speechless. Outstanding customer service to go along with the great taste. Honestly wish I lived in the area, so I could eat here more often.“

“My entire family devoured our food. We were comatose afterwards. We ordered rib tips, turkey, brisket, & half chicken. The meat was so good & tender. Baked beans were surprisingly delicious as well. However, $25 pp, complimentary cornbread would have been appreciated. Lasrly, the Mac & cheese was bland but edible.“

“I had not been to Carson's in many years as I was not in the area. Happily, my return trip was superb— just as amazing as I remembered it. How many times are we disappointed when we go back to an old favorite after 10 or 20 years? The answer is more frequently than not. Now that I am back in the Chicago area, there are likely to be many returns. Best BBQ ever. Keep up the great work and don't change anything. 👍🏼👍🏼“

“I came to a private event at Shaevitz. The staff was very kind and welcoming, the food was fantastic. The brisket and burgers are very flavorful. Shaevitz is conveniently located in downtown Highland Park with plenty of parking in the area. Supporting a conservative Kosher business is definitely a plus.

“Tried it today for the first time! Very delicious, I loved the chicken mac & cheese. (Toddler approved too) The Cajun chicken sandwich is pretty good! I expected it would be spicy but sadly it wasn’t 🥲 Still was a great sandwich though! The cornbread muffins are amazingggg

“Went there on 6/22/22. We ate outside and were pleased to have a musician playing on the patio. The food was excellent as was the service. Bring your appetite and still expect to take home leftovers. Classic menu of steaks, chops, sandwiches and top notch BBQ. This will be a mainstay for us moving forward. Can't recommend this place enough!“

“Really delicious bbq for a fair price, ordered three different meats with three different appetizers, 3 sojus plus extra drinks and rice! For a group of 4, spent roughly $50+ per person but given the food quality and service, definitely a gem place 🙌🏼 1000000/10 would come back ! Especially for those cute shot glasses !! “They opened really nice restaurants in neighborhood since its really hard to find all u can eat good quality bbq around Schaumburg, Arlington heights, Elk Grove Village etc.
You don't get to grill the meat, they will take ur order and grill it in the back and bring it on the table which I found surprisingly cool and calm. There is no smoke or urge to overcook the meat etc. Usually its little messy when u get to grill the meat. Just found out today its really actually great idea if mear served grilled like theirs.
You will calmly be served with delicious tender good quality steak in front of u already cooked professionally. The side dish and kimchi stew was top notch. They will serve you side dishes with everything you want to enjoy with the meat. Grilled onion, garlic,jalapeno, side zucchini, carrot mushroom even the sauce and salt was so good! 0 complains! Cannot get enough of kimchi stew. My husband said even their water tested better lol . We only paid around $70-$80 but it was all worth it. Definitely will come back!! Its been so hard to find good restaurants nowadays. They are exceed the expectations! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“happened to stumble on this place on a random Tuesday. we came into the restaurant around 2:15ish and they closed at 3:00. despite this, they were very kind and told us not to worry about it. the food was amazing, me and my best friend couldn’t believe how good every dish was. we got a ton of food for $45 without tip. left happy and full! would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a tasty bite.“

“A mix of a rotisserie chicken place and a Mexican restaurant. Got a whole chicken and sides. The chicken had very good flavor and smoke. It was a little dry as if it was kept in the heating box for a while or just overcooked a bit. The sides were not memorable. I’d go back again and just skip the sides. The Mexican food looked good.“

“First time at this location as we were visiting my son and daughter in law and was truly disappointed about dinner . Ordered herb crusted chicken with a side kick of shrimp and got a plain grilled chicken breast and let manger know and she offered nothing but got a new actual herb crusted chicken 15 minutes later after everyone was about done with dinner ! Been to Texas by our house several times and ordered this same thing and never got this kind of service ! Not even a sorry let me make it right !“

“from out of town and stopped on a whim. Def a good idea! Burgers were hand pressed, fresh cut fries and could tell oil was fresh so fries were excellent, shake had chocolate syrup drizzled on inside if glass- nice touch! will def stop again if in area.“
